Hello Divesh Sharma, you have raised the query on an issue where there will be as many choices as the number of people whom you ask. In addition the national ranking for the different colleges also comes into play but then it is of no use four years down the line when you will be passing out and hoping to get placed. My personal opinion is that in general NIT trichy would be a much better choiceonly for academics but also for placements. Best wishes to you.

National Institute of Technology Trichy is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology established by the government. Of India and was declared as an institute of national importance in 2007. NIT Trichy has been ranked 1st among the National Institutes of Technology for four years in a row from 2016 to 2019, 10th among all engineering colleges, and ranked 24th overall. It was named as the University of the Year by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry awards in 2015. And also titled as Best Industry Linked National Institute of Technology in India by the Confederation of Indian Industry. It has been ranked on the position of 10th by NIRF and The Week as well. NIT Trichy has been consistently maintained its academic ranking in all the departments like Engineering, Architecture, and Business Management. The admission in MBA programs at NIT Trichy are based on CAT scores. The applicants will be shortlisted based on CAT score only. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend the Group Discussion and Personal Interview at Chennai/ Delhi/ Hyderabad/ Kolkata/ Tiruchirappalli/ Mumbai centers.
Eligibility criteria : Candidates should have 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% for OC/OBC and 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% in case of SC/ST candidates in the qualifying degree. For PWD candidates, the eligibility criterion will apply to the category they belong to (OC/OC-EWS/OBC/SC/ST).
The above mentioned CGPA/Percentage should be aggregate based on all semesters. Further Candidates appearing for their final year degree examination are also eligible to apply for the program.
So from above you can be eligible for CAT 2021, if meeting the above criteria. The CAT 2021 notification will be published in last week of July 2021, While the registration will be start in first week of August 2021.
