NITTE Institute of Communication offers courses at UG and doctoral levels. The programmes include BA (Hons) in Media and Communications. Aspirants must pass a minimum of Class 12 for UG courses and PG degree for PhD courses. Admission to NITTE Institute of Communication is both merit and entrance-based.

NITTE Institute of Communication admissions are both entrance and merit-based. The institute shortlists candidates for BA (Hons) programme based on merit in the last qualifying exam. NITTE University conducts an online entrance test to select candidates for PhD courses. The Online Entrance Test of 75 minutes duration consists of 70 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
