NLU Lucknow offers B.A. LLB (Hons.), LL.M. (One year), and PhD programmes. For B.A. For LLB admission, candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised Board, and LLM admission requires B.A. LL.B. (Hons.)/B.Sc. LL.B. (Hons.) degree of RMNLU Lucknow or LLB five years or LLB.three years degree of a recognised university. 

Yes, scholarships to the candidates of SC/ ST/ OBC of Uttar Pradesh and also to the students of unreserved categories having family income less than INR 2 lakh annually are provided under various schemes of  Govt. of UP.NLU Lucknow also provides the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for SC/ST Students. Under this scheme, five eligible students of the SC/ST category are provided scholarships which include reimbursement of full tuition fee, living expenses of INR 2,220 per month, books & stationery of INR 3,000- per year and computer/accessories up to INR 45,000 per year per student. 

The mode of instruction for the LLM programme at RMLNLU is full-time. In this one-year PG programme, the emphasis is on a wholesome legal education whereby theoretical inputs are blended with the practical application of the same. The curriculum is framed in a way to enables critical thinking and an in-depth understanding of various legal principles, to prepare graduates for diverse career opportunities in academia, practice, and the public sector. Out of the 2024 batch at RMLNLU, 24 students were placed successfully. In the placements, 14 students each got placed in law firms, while 4 went to corporate organizations. LLM at RMLNLU is a one-year full-time postgraduate course scheme of the LLM course encompasses diverse areas of legal studies, and its operation is divided into two semesters.
