Generally speaking, though, applicants must receive a qualifying exam score of 80% or more in order to be admitted to regular college BA LLB (Hons) programmes.In Delhi University, the cutoff marks for BA LLB (Hons) last year was around 85%. In University of Mumbai, the cutoff was 75%. In University of Madras, the cutoff was 70% last year.It is usually advisable to visit the college's official website to verify the most recent cutoff scores before applying. Candidates must achieve high marks on the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) or other pertinent law entrance tests in addition to meeting the requirements for the qualifying examination. The CLAT entrance exam results are accepted by the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) for admission to its BA LLB (Hons) programme. India offers a nationwide entrance exam called CLAT for admission to undergraduate and graduate law programmes. The Consortium of National Law Universities is in charge of it.The 12th examinations from the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), and the Indian School Certificate (ISC) are also accepted by RGNUL for candidates from Punjab. Applicants must have received at least 45% (or 40% for SC, ST, and OBC candidates) in their qualifying exam. Based on their CLAT score, candidates who have received a legitimate score will be shortlisted. To further assess the candidates, RGNUL may conduct personal interviews (PIs) with those who have been shortlisted if there are more applicants than seats available.

Your chances, however, will be based on how well you do on the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) as well as how competitive the year is overall.The main criterion taken into account for admission to the BA LLB (Hons) programme at RGNUL is the CLAT. It is still possible to get into a university with a little lower 12th class percentage if you have a great CLAT score.To create a shortlist of candidates for the personal interview (PI) stage, your percentage from your 12th grade will be used. Still, your admittance is not decided by the percentage alone.The admissions procedure gives more weight to your CLAT score. A little lower 12th class percentage can be made up for with a good CLAT score.You will receive an invitation to a PI if you are selected for further consideration. Your legal aptitude, communication abilities, and general programme fit are evaluated by the PI. A number of factors, such as the level of competition in the year you apply, how well you do on the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), and how well you do in the RGNUL personal interview (should you be invited to one), will determine whether or not you can get into The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) with 70% in 12th class.Generally speaking, there are moderate odds of getting into RGNUL with 70% in 12th class. It is feasible, though, as there have been instances of students entering RGNUL with worse grades in their senior year of high school.The main factor that determines your admissions possibilities at RGNUL is the CLAT. Any low grades you may have received in 12th class can be somewhat reduced by a strong performance in the CLAT.The admission requirements of many of India's 23 National Law Universities (NLUs) are comparable to those of RGNUL. You might still be able to enter another NLU if you are unable to enter RGNUL.

For admission to undergraduate and graduate legal programmes in India, a national entrance exam known as CLAT is offered.The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) conducts the CLAT, and candidates who pass it with at least 45% of the potential points are entitled to take it. English, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Reasoning, and Aptitude are part of the exam.Through the CLAT online application form, candidates can submit an application for RGNUL. Normally, the application form is accessible from November through December. The placements at The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law are pretty good and the average salary package offered was 8.4 LPA. The university is considered to be one of the top universities for law. Every year, the students are provided a generous CTC package during the placement drive. Placements for RGNUL Punjab 2023 are now complete. Eight recruiters made PPOs, and eight recruiters made offers to graduating students; the remaining eight recruiters were hired through campus recruitment. Out of the 31 students who were placed, 11 of them obtained PPOs as a result of their internships. The RGNUL Punjab students received offers from a number of recruiters, including Trilegal, Ernst & Young LLP, S&A Law Officers, Link Legal, etc.

Applicants may also apply if they took the qualifying exam in March or April of 2024 or if they are still expecting their results.Or else, Applicants need to have obtained a legitimate score on the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). For candidates from Punjab, RGNUL also accepts results from the 12th exams administered by the Indian School Certificate (ISC), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), and Punjab School Education Board (PSEB).The shortlisting of candidates will be determined by their qualifying examination marks (for candidates from Punjab, CBSE, and ISC) or CLAT score.
