Dear Aagam, Both LPU and PDPU are good private universities. As far as I know, LPU does not offer petroleum engineering and I have no idea about this programme at PDPU. My friend did B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from LPU and now he is working in IOCL. The JEE cut off for LPU is 80%ile !
It has been ranked among top 100 universities overall and top 80 engineering organisations as such by NIRF, even by ATAL (MHRD)Rankings, it has been ranked among the top 25 band A universities.
If you do not fall within the cut off, I suggest yo to write LPUNEST, which is a online remotely proctored test and secure scholarships too, that too upto 35% of program fee.
