Chitkara University, Baddi, has been accredited with B grade portraying good level of facilities by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), an autonomous body established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to assess the quality of education being provided by institutions of higher learning.
The university had voluntarily invited the NAAC to visit and assess it, said Registrar Virender Kanwar.
The prime mandate of the NAAC is to evaluate and accredit institutions of higher learning. It functions through its general council and executive committee.
