Panjab University conducts PUTHAT for admission to BHMCT and BTTM programmes. Starting with the application, interested candidates are required to go through the course-specific entrance exam followed by other selection rounds (PUTHAT in this case). After the selection rounds are over, course-wise merit lists are released on the official website with the names of the shortlisted candidates. For admission to PhD for the academic year 2023, the application forms are not out yet. However, the application forms and notification for PhD admission 2022 were out on PUCHD's official website on September 15, 2022 and the last date to apply for the same was October 30. As per the internet, BA at PU is offered across Economics, History, Sociology and Psychology specialisation, among others. However, students must select the specialisation on the basis of their interest and past academic background and not on the basis of its popularity. Admission to the MTech program at UIET is based on the candidate’s GATE score and performance in the qualifying examination. Preference is given to GATE-qualified candidates for all courses. Candidates with at least 60% marks in the qualifying examination will be given admission if seats remain vacant after the GATE-qualified candidate's admission.

The total fee for MBA ranges between INR 42,700 and INR 6.20 lakh. Yes, Panjab University offers a three-year undergraduate BA or Bachelor of Arts course in both regular and distance modes via its constituent/ affiliated colleges. The course is offered in both part-time modes, under distance learning and on a full-time basis. The screening process considers marks secured in the last qualifying exam and no entrance is conducted by PU for admission to this course. Punjab University MBA admission through CAT 2023 has already been closed for the academic year 2024. Now, for admission to the academic year 2025, CAT 2024 exam foms are expected to be out in Aug 2024. Candidates will be required to create an account, fill the CAT registration form and pay the exam application fee. The 2024 CAT form have to be submitted by a certain deadline after which no application will be accepted. For 2024 CAT exam, CAT registration will go on between Aug and Sep. The exam will be conducted in November.

The total fee for BTech ranges from INR 92,460 to INR 5.6 lakh. This fee, however, is sourced from an unofficial source. Hence, is indicative. Other than the course fee, students are required to pay the registration fee for JEE Main, JAC Chandigarh, PU LEET or PU MEET depending on their admission process. The fee for JEE Main application form for General/ Gen-EWS/ OBC (NCL) male candidates is INR 650 for a single paper while SC/ ST/ PwD/ Transgender and Female candidates are required to pay application fees of INR 325. The overall average package offered during Panjab University MBA placements 2023 is not released. However, the average package offered during PU UBS Chandigarh placements 2023 stood at INR 13.7 LPA. Earlier, the average package offered during PU UBS Chandigarh placements 2022 and 2021 stood at INR 10.13 LPA and INR 8.10 LPA, respectively.
