The eligibility criteria for BTech admission at PMU require candidates to have scored at least 45% in the three compulsory subjects in Class 12. These subjects are Physics, Mathematics, and any one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational Subject. Hence, scoring 50% in Class 12 does not make a candidate eligible to apply for PMU BTech admission. They must have studied the three compulsory subjects in Class 12 and scored more than the minimum required aggregate.

Yes, PMU offers placement assistance to BCom students. The university has a dedicated placement cell to provide placement opportunities to all its students. The PMU placement cell is called the Centre for Institute Industry Interaction (CII).

Yes, PMU offers placement assistance to BCom students. The university has a dedicated placement cell to provide placement opportunities to all its students. The PMU placement cell is called the Centre for Institute Industry Interaction (CII). Besides assisting in placements, CII trains the students in soft skills and aims at increasing their employability. In 2023, 678 students registered for the placement drive, out of which 581 were successfully placed. Further, 68 companies participated in the drive and distributed over 798 job offers across all the courses.

The amount of security deposit is refundable after the completition of the course. Other fee components could be refundable, non-refundable, to be paid semester-wise or annually. The tuition fee for BCom at Periyar Maniammai University (PMU) ranges between INR 50,000 and INR 1.1 lakh. The one-time fee for the course is INR 2,000. The PMU hostel fee for BCom students is INR 1.53 lakh. The mentioned fees have been sourced from the official website of the university. They are still subject to change and hence, are indicative.
