Please be clear with your question. As far as I can understand you want to study in category A (which has a lower tuition fee than the other categories). That is possible if you have a good rank in PESSAT. After that, there is a 20% fee waiver to the top 15% students of their respective branches and you can get this in every semester. Some BPL scholarships are also there which can help you.

Well, this is a difficult question to answer. Previously there were 2 branches CSE and IS but after PESIT became PES University, IS branch was removed and the seats in CSE branch are doubled. I don't think the placements will be affected as now the same students will be chosen by the company but from the CSE branch. Also, this is the last year for the IS branch (presently fourth years).

There are a number of canteens in the campus for better food. Also, the campus is small so you don't have to walk much. Only attendance is a bit cumbersome (75%). There is a big cricket ground where you can play. Overall the life is fun.

Since PESSAT is an online exam so previous year papers are not available. Still, if you want to solve you can search for COMEDK previous year papers or BITSAT previous year paper. The difficulty level is somewhat similar.
