Jadhavpur University has 50 seats and prsidency University has 28. The fee structure compratively is also less for all courses in Preseidency than Jadavpur University.

Yes, one can easily get into presidency university, kolkata with 70% or equivalent in class 12th. The University has 17 departments that offers UG, PG and PhD programmes in Arts and Science specialisations. Admission to all the courses offered by the University is entrance-based every year. However, for admission to the academic year 2021-22, the entrance exams conducted for admission to UG and PG courses by WBJEEB, i.e. PUBDET and PUMDET stand cancelled. All the admissions for this academic year will be based on merit in the last qualifying exam.

This was followed by the release of first provisional merit list for admission, based on which students will be able to confirm their seats. The university currently offers UG, PG and doctoral-level courses in the field of Arts and Science. For admission to the University, WBJEEB conducted PUMDET and PUBDET exams for PG and UG admission. However, from the academic batch of 2021-22, WBJEEB has cancelled both these exams and admission will strictly be based on merit scores obtained by the students at the undergraduate level and Class 12 for PG and UG admission, respectively.One cannot get admission with 60% in class 12th for admission one requires 70% or equivalent marks in class 12th.

Candidates can apply through the official website. At the undergraduate level, Presidency University Kolkata offers a three-year BSc (Hons) course across eight specialisations (subjects). Candidates can apply for a maximum of two subjects under this programme. The university accepts online applications for Indian students who have completed their Class 12. During the 2021 session, admission opened with the release of application forms in the month of August. Hence, for Presidency University Kolkata BSc admission 2022, applications are expected to open in August. The university follows reservation policy as per rules formed by the government.
