Ranchi University is a government University whereas NIMS University is a private university. As private universities have better infrastructure, college life and extra curricular activities. NIMS is better than Ranchi University in various aspects like the faculty members are good and highly qualified. The are well-equipped with modern facilities like computer labs and all. I will prefer NIMS BBSR for BCA course. In Ranchi University, the BCA placements packages are also quite lower as compared to Naxatra Institute of Media Studies .

It has academic collaboration with various Indian as well as international universities. According to me, NIMS  has better placements specially in media studies.
