I am satisfied with faculty members, good infrastructure, facilities and placements.
Placements: Our college has excellent placements. They provide training, but for the core companies, students need to improve their skills in various domains to get placed in those companies. Newly emerging courses like MCT get fewer placements than other courses.
Infrastructure: Our college hostels are affordable and have reasonable facilities.
Faculty: Our college faculty members are friendly. They have good teaching experience and knowledge. Exams can be difficult in some cases but they are also predictable. The semester exams are easier if you review them properly. If you are interested in mechanical engineering, the course is simple and understandable. Our college teachers are friendly and knowledgeable with better teaching experience than most colleges.

Really excellent placement. Friendly faculty members. World class infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Mostly everyone got placed in IT sector. A very few got placed in core. The highest package is 18 LPA and the lowest is 6 LPA. Companies such as TVS, TCS, and CATTERPILLER come here to recruit. 70% to 75% of my seniors received internship offers. Some are hired as HR professionals by TCS.
Infrastructure: The campus provides us with free Wi-Fi facilities. The labs are old though the infrastructure is good. The labs are enough to do some Ph.D. research. The classrooms are okay. Sastra has an excellent library facility. The food is okay but only veg. Sastra has 4-5 canteens. There are doctors taking care of us in case of sickness. Sports and games are also encouraged.
Faculty: All the professors here are highly qualified. They help us not only in subjects but also with out-of-subject topics too. This course curriculum is relevant and it makes students ready for the industry. To be honest, the semester exams are really tough. 50% in both external and internal is the pass mark.
Other: I got only 89% in my boards. I got 91 percentile in JEE. I did not get a good course in any government colleges. Some private colleges which offered me seats asked for a greater fee. Here I got a seat for an affordable fee structure. We have 2 inter college fests and 2 intra college fests.

I am dissatisfied with the play ground on campus.
Placements: For a mechanical student, the salary package offered will be less compared to other branches like CSE. Salary packages offered are quite good compared to other colleges. Top recruiting companies are L&T, Bosch, Ford, Ashok Leyland, etc.
Infrastructure: The library is very good in our college. You can get the maximum needed books. Classrooms are also very good but we don't have a spacious playground. We have a small hospital on campus. There are 5 canteens that servehygienic food.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful and friendly. We have a facility to select our teachers for a particular subject. The curriculum is designed in a good way such that there will be exams in periodical manner. Semester exams are not so easy to get top-notch grades. The pass percentage is around 85%.
Other: I chose this course because I love mechanical engineering and in this college, there are many labs regarding our course. We can get a lot of practical knowledge.

I am satisfied with its teaching and environment.
Placements: In mechanical engineering, placements are low, so very few students get selected by the core companies. The remaining students get placed in IT companies or jobs related to IT companies. Placements training will be provided to students to clear the interviews successfully.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. Wi-Fi is enabled on campus, but sometimes the speed is not good. The library is very good. Laboratories are also well-equipped. The food quality is average. Canteen food is also fine. Sports and game grounds are good, but they need to concentrate on the cricket ground.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also good. Our course curriculum is good, but I feel that they need to concentrate a bit more on making students industry-ready. Semester exams' difficulty is average to test students' concepts. The pass percentage is 50%.
Other: Our college needs to concentrate on the hostel mess.

Our college is a good place to learn for future.
Placements: Around 100% of students get placed in 1 or 2 companies. The average salary package offered is 8 LPA for tech students and 4 to 6 LPA for non-IT students. Around 20 to 25% of students got internships. Good companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro, Accenture, Deloitte, and Incedo offer placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. Library is huge but students need to adjust with the food as the taste is below average. Students can go and eat outside.
Faculty: Faulty members are helpful during working hours. Exams are a bit tough. As I am a mechanical student, they teach both theoretically and practically in classrooms and labs. Students can get enough knowledge in labs.
Other: Since the pandemic, we had 3 events in the first year. Kurukshetra is one of them.

Q:   Can I join SASTRA without JEE?

A:

Admission to all the BTech courses is subject to JEE Main scores and Class 12 scores(given equal weightage) for 50% of the seats and is subject to Class 12 scores for the remaining 50% of the seats. However, as per the official website, there is no fixed or specific cutoff to get a seat here. It depends on the students who score the highest marks. If a student has appeared for JEE Main then they need to apply under stream 1 of admission. Additionally, as per the data available on the internet, if a student has a score of 90-95% in Class 12 and 50-120 in JEE Main, there is a high possibility of getting admission.

Placements and Internship:
* High placement rates, with several students getting offers from reputed companies
* Core-based jobs are relatively fewer, with most being IT-related
* Average salary packages range from INR4-INR5 Lacs per annum
* Fewer internships available compared to other universities

Criticisms and Suggestions:
* Some students report poor food options in the hostel and canteen

There are very low chances of your admission in these colleges because your rank is not good. You will get a nit or good college if you belong to a SC, ST category. Please try JOSAA app on play store, and use it's college cut-off and college predictions.
