SASTRA University offers a B.Tech. program in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. Admission to this program is determined by a combination of JEE Main scores and Class 12th marks. Specifically, 70% of the seats are allocated based on a weighted score comprising 25% from JEE Main and 75% from Class 12th marks. The remaining 30% of seats are filled based solely on Class 12th marks. The university calculates its own ranks using this weighted formula and does not adhere to external cut-off scores. Therefore, there isn't a predefined cut-off for the B.Tech. in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence program. Admission is competitive, and higher combined scores improve the likelihood of securing a seat. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, it's advisable to consult SASTRA University's official admissions page or contact their admissions office directly.

Both SASTRA University and Anna University are premium institutes, yet they vary vastly in characters.SASTRA University is a deemed university where the quality infrastructure, faculties, and record of placement are superior to other deemed universities. Moreover, SASTRA university offers plenty of scopes to do good research works under strong academia and development orientation for its students. Collaboration with so many institutions abroad and all the benefits with being a Deemed University.Other reputable institutes include Anna University for the autonomous colleges like SSN or CEG - good for engineering and technology; however, the affiliate colleges may not have a more considerable number of core recruitment offers in comparison to SASTRA.It depends on so many factors like the courses one is interested in studying, the location preferences.

With a score of 966 out of 1000 in your board exams and 55% in JEE Mains, your chances of securing a seat at SASTRA University depend on several factors, including the specific course you're applying for and the current year's cutoff trends. SASTRA University typically considers both the JEE Mains score and the board exam marks for admissions, with a higher emphasis on board marks. A score of 966 out of 1000 is highly competitive, and it could significantly improve your chances, especially if you're applying for popular courses like Computer Science or Electronics. However, a 55% in JEE Mains may be a bit lower than the ideal range, as top universities often prefer higher JEE scores for engineering admissions. While it's possible to get a seat, your chances would be better if your JEE score aligns more closely with the typical cutoff range. I would recommend checking the specific course-wise cutoffs for the current year on the SASTRA University website and considering alternate pathways like the university's internal exam, if applicable.

Given your 979 intermediate exam grades and 89 percentile JEE Mains scores, you stand a good chance of being accepted into SASTRA Universitys Computer Science Engineering (CSE) programme in Thanjavur. There are two routes for admissions:Stream 1: Comprising normalised 12th marks (75%) and the JEE Mains (25%) accounts for 70% of seats.Stream 2: Covering the remaining 30% based only on 12th grade grades. The merit-based requirements of Stream 1 are adequately met by your scores. But there is fierce rivalry for CSE, and the final admission results rely on the total number of applicants and the cutoffs

The exact eligibility depends on the specific course and competition in that year. For Stream 2, admission is based solely on board marks, with higher marks (90%+) improving chances for competitive courses.

With an 88% in your 12th grade, and an 86 percentile in JEE Mains 2024, you can get admission to CSE at SASTRA University. It's quite tough as the competition is enormous for this branch, but it is possible. The process at SASTRA is rather interestingly different: 70% of the seats for this CSE programme are filled based on a composite score comprising 25% JEE Mains and 75% 12th board marks, while for the rest, 30%, admittance is based purely on board marks. Generally speaking, candidates having a JEE Main percentile of more than 90 and scoring more than 95% in boards have a higher chance at getting a seat in the CSE branch.Close to INR 2.40 Lacs tuition fees for the whole B.Tech programme at SASTRA University, which ends up at about INR 9.46 Lacs over the entire programme duration aside from additional expenses like the development fees and the examination fees.
