With a score of 966 out of 1000 in your board exams and 55% in JEE Mains, your chances of securing a seat at SASTRA University depend on several factors, including the specific course you're applying for and the current year's cutoff trends. SASTRA University typically considers both the JEE Mains score and the board exam marks for admissions, with a higher emphasis on board marks. A score of 966 out of 1000 is highly competitive, and it could significantly improve your chances, especially if you're applying for popular courses like Computer Science or Electronics. However, a 55% in JEE Mains may be a bit lower than the ideal range, as top universities often prefer higher JEE scores for engineering admissions. While it's possible to get a seat, your chances would be better if your JEE score aligns more closely with the typical cutoff range. I would recommend checking the specific course-wise cutoffs for the current year on the SASTRA University website and considering alternate pathways like the university's internal exam, if applicable.

Given your 979 intermediate exam grades and 89 percentile JEE Mains scores, you stand a good chance of being accepted into SASTRA Universitys Computer Science Engineering (CSE) programme in Thanjavur. There are two routes for admissions:Stream 1: Comprising normalised 12th marks (75%) and the JEE Mains (25%) accounts for 70% of seats.Stream 2: Covering the remaining 30% based only on 12th grade grades. The merit-based requirements of Stream 1 are adequately met by your scores. But there is fierce rivalry for CSE, and the final admission results rely on the total number of applicants and the cutoffs

Admission to SASTRA University's B.Tech Lateral Entry program is granted on the basis of merit earned in an accredited diploma program. Since SASTRA admissions are mostly merit-based, the cutoff trends for lateral entry programs are not available . However, depending on the volume of applicants and diploma achievement levels, the rivalry may differ throughout areas such as computer science, electronics and communication engineering, and others. The B.Tech Lateral Entry tuition for the 2023 academic year was roughly 65,000 per semester, plus extra costs for sports and development, for a program cost of about 4,28,825 in total

With a 91% in board exams, you have a strong academic foundation for admission to SASTRA University. The university gives weightage to both board exam marks and JEE Mains scores. While your JEE Mains score of 50% may be on the lower side compared to typical cut-offs, SASTRA University also considers board marks significantly. Admission depends on the programme and category. For accurate details, checking the official cut-off or consulting the university's admission office is recommended.

With your JEE Mains score of 83.6% and IPE marks of 911, you can apply to SASTRA University under Stream 1, which considers both JEE Mains scores (25% weightage) and board marks (75% weightage). The exact eligibility depends on the specific course and competition in that year. For Stream 2, admission is based solely on board marks, with higher marks (90%+) improving chances for competitive courses.

The cutoff information for B.Tech Mechanical Engineering at SASTRA University is determined through multiple criteria such as JEE Main and university-level exams. In recent years, the typical cutoff ranks for admission have been in the range of:JEE Main: The closing rank for Mechanical Engineering through JEE Main has typically been around 40,000-50,000, though it may vary slightly based on the year and the number of applicants.University-specific exam (if applicable): For students applying through the university's own exam, the cutoff ranks or percentage thresholds may differ, generally requiring a good score in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 12th-grade exams.

With an 88% in your 12th grade, and an 86 percentile in JEE Mains 2024, you can get admission to CSE at SASTRA University. It's quite tough as the competition is enormous for this branch, but it is possible. The process at SASTRA is rather interestingly different: 70% of the seats for this CSE programme are filled based on a composite score comprising 25% JEE Mains and 75% 12th board marks, while for the rest, 30%, admittance is based purely on board marks. Generally speaking, candidates having a JEE Main percentile of more than 90 and scoring more than 95% in boards have a higher chance at getting a seat in the CSE branch.Close to INR 2.40 Lacs tuition fees for the whole B.Tech programme at SASTRA University, which ends up at about INR 9.46 Lacs over the entire programme duration aside from additional expenses like the development fees and the examination fees.

An individual with 89% in Tamil Nadu +2 and above can compete at SASTRA University under Stream 2 for B.Tech courses. Stream 2 takes the aggregate in +2 normalized with the marks of students from the same board for the highest rank to fill the seats. Therefore, since reserved 30% of total seats, this score stands competitively when it comes to overall merit and normalization. Bringing forth SASTRA courses, there are several options falling under B. Tech such as Computer Science, Bioengineering, and Electrical Engineering, to name a few.All of these may be pursued if an individual fulfills the eligibility condition that requires passing class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or equivalent subjects in general, and referring to the official guidelines at SASTRA will provide the complete scenario on courses and eligibility.
