When admitting students, the university also takes the letter of intent into account. The names of the shortlisted candidates are announced by the institution through the publishing of a merit list following the conclusion of the selection processes. The individuals who made the short list must appear for counselling and documentation validation. A course fee must be paid by applicants in order to secure a spot at the university. The exam is administered in four phases: February, May, September, and December. The MAT test is administered in three modes: offline (Paper Based Test or PBT), online (Computer Based Test or CBT), and remotely proctored (Internet Based Test or IBT). The MAT fees, exam schedule, and syllabus are the identical for all three modes, however the admit card and exam dates differ.

However, 100% of the most recent MBA class was successfully placed in reputable firms, according to reviews left by Shoolini University students on the Shiksha page. During the most recent MBA postings at Shoolini University, the maximum package provided was INR 12 LPA, while the average package was INR 6 LPA. The leading employers that took part in the most recent Shoolini University placement drives were Nestle, Accenture, TATA, Hitachi, Glenmark, Zydus, Lifecell, HCL, IBM, Cognizant, etc. Bahra University's Career Development Cell provides placement assistance for all programmes. In addition to placements, the university provides its students with internship options. During campus placements, the largest salary package offered was INR 25 LPA.

For particular courses, Shoolini University administers the SU-SAT, its own entrance exam. More than 180 UG, PG, and PhD courses in a variety of subjects are available at the institution, including engineering, management, commerce, pharmacy, law, and more. For the engineering branch, it also provides summit research courses and lateral entrance admissions. In addition, the Shoolini University Centre for Distance and Online Education (SCDOE) provides BBA, BCom (Hons), and other courses.

The scores obtained by the candidates in the respective entrance exams are considered during the selection process. For MBA courses, the CAT cutoff required for admission is 60–80 percentile. This qualifying cutoff may vary from year to year depending on various factors. Shoolini University also considers the letter of intent when providing admission. After the completion of the selection rounds, the university releases a merit list to announce the names of the shortlisted candidates. The shortlisted candidates need to come for counselling and document verification. Aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat at the university.

Students who apply to Shoolini University for MBA courses will receive a 20% scholarship for the first semester alone. This is eligible for students with at least one year of regular job experience, and those with at least two years of regular work experience will receive a 30% scholarship. Shoolini is a member of The Institution of Engineers in India and a Recognised Social Entrepreneurship, Swachhta, and Rural Engagement Cell (SES REC) Institution.

For particular courses, Shoolini University administers the SU-SAT, its own entrance exam. Applicants can view the merit list and cut-off information on the college's official website. Additionally, aspirants can follow Shiksha for any updates and information about the Shoolini University cutoff marks. Candidates must meet the requirements for the MBA programme in MAT, CAT, ALLIANCE-MAT, XAT, NMAT, CMAT, and KMAT scores. A personal interview (PI) and an oral extempore speech will then follow. However, applicants must first pass the AUSAT in order to be considered for the BCom and BBA programmes.

The UGC has approved Shoolini University. It was founded in 2009. In addition to being ISO-certified, the university offers some courses that are NBA accredited. The NAAC has awarded the university accreditation with a B+ grade.
