Provides a really good campus life.
Placements: Almost 20 percent of students are provided placements from each batch. Placements are given based on the students' overall performance and skills. The package starts from 25k per month. The top recruiting companies are Parle, Britannia, etc. Some of the roles provided are food safety officer, quality assurance, etc.
Infrastructure: The college provides every necessary requirement for students such as Wi-Fi connection, practical labs, libraries, hostel rooms, canteens, etc. The food quality is just average. The college gives importance to sports as well and conducts different tournaments.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable, and their teaching quality is also the very best. The course provides all the knowledge needed for industry readiness and also offers training for different industries during the summer break. The exams are really easy, and almost 90 percent of students pass every year.

I am not satisfied with the placement and infrastructure of our food tech department.
Placements: In the last 2 to 3 years there are fewer chances of placement here, i.e., about 10 -20%. Companies like Amul, and Banas dairy come for placements. Around 10% of students get an internship. We get an internship in companies like Amul, and Britania. The average package here is 2 LPA-2.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are average. All the facilities in our hostel and the food quality of mess are average. The medical facilities are quite good. We have sports and games less often organised over here. The facilities in the hostel are not that much satisfying.
Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful here. They are knowledgeable and well qualified and the quality of teachers is good. Here the teaching faculty is good. Our course curriculum makes us ready for the industry. Semester exams are not so difficult. About 33% is the passing percentage.

The college provides the best campus experience.
Placements: There are almost 50 students per batch; out of that, around 10 students get placed in highly reputed companies every year. The package varies between 15k to 35k at the start and increments later. Top companies like Parle, Nestle, Amul, ITC, etc., are the recruiting companies.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility is just average with efficient water facilities, Wi-Fi, library, security, etc. But the drawback is the poor quality food provided in the mess. There are some extracurricular activities like food fests, sports, etc. There is also an active medical facility hospital available on this campus.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful and are sufficient in knowledge. They really help throughout the semesters to clear every doubt. Also, this course is highly practical. They also provide us opportunities for various industrial visits and training.

It is an excellent place for bright students.
Placements: Only a few students get a chance to be placed in industries. Most of them got placements off campus. Nestle, Amul, and ITC are the top companies that recruit students of our college. The top rols offered is junior food analyst. Majority of them got internships in Parle, Nestle, and Britania. Some started their own startups.
Infrastructure: All basic facilities are available in our college. Wi-Fi is paid and some of the classrooms have air-conditioners. The food served in the hostel is average and the rooms are also average. There are 4 hostels namely IH, PG, NH, and NIH.
Faculty: The course is prepared according to industries' requirements. The teachers are very helpful and their teaching quality is top-notch. The teachers are very helpful though some are very strict. The course makes students placement ready if they study with proper guidance. Exams are on the tough side but if you study well, you can score well. All teachers give good marks, even the strict ones but you have to study hard to make it. People lose interest in studies so they fail.
Other: Many cultural events happen in this college. You can find tournaments happening year round, fod fest, every department has its own fest. This college gives special concession to sports candidate. The campus is lush green, full of greenery. You can experience snowfall in summer. There are trees whose leaves snow like seeds. Eco club, literary club, photography club, dance club etc., are available on campus.

Review of SHUATS - Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences.
Placements: Around 12-13 students are placed from the senior batch. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. The top recruiters are Amul, Sudha Dairy, Britannia, etc. Almost 25% of students get internships. The top roles offered are food operations specialist and quality inspection engineer.
Infrastructure: All modern facilities are available like Wi-Fi, smart classes, air-conditioned classrooms, digital laboratories, and a library. The hostel is average, if students want to enjoy hostel vibes it is made for them through the food is not acceptable. This college has its separate hospital available to students. If students want to participate in NSS and NCC, then they can just contact the sports department. Every year state sports programs are held, and students can also take part in inter-university tournaments.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and they have a vast knowledge regarding this field. The course is tough and has not been updated for years but it has all the elements that an employer wants from a fresher. Here students get a good experience of this college vibes. Students will have the chance to interact with foreign students and students from other states also.
Other: This course is very demanding and I opted for this course because one of my family members are also in this field and I have a great interest in cooking. The course has all the key elements but they must bring out some improvements like making it shot and simple. Many cultural and sports events are held in this college, and people from different nationalities study here. The campus is very green and clean, several state governments scholarships are there to take part.

Q:   Does SHUATS have good placements?

A:

SHUATS placements may vary depending on the specific programme you're considering for placements. Here's a breakdown:

SHUATS has a Directorate of Career Planning and Counseling (DCPC) that actively works with students on career development and placement opportunities. They organize workshops, mock interviews, and career counseling sessions to help students prepare for the job market.

Some sources report that around 75% of students get placed through on-campus placements. This can vary depending on the program, with some like Food Technology, Dairy Technology, and Agriculture having better placement rates than others.

Well-known companies like Nestle, ITC, and Parle Agro have been known to recruit from SHUATS.

For more information visit website shikhsha.com.

Q:   What is the average package offered at SHUATS?

A:

However, based on my research from multiple sources, the average package offered at SHUATS generally falls within the range of 3.5 LPA to 4.5 LPA. This means that on average, SHUATS graduates can expect to receive an annual salary in this range upon placement.

Here are some specific examples of average package estimates I found:

  1. Shiksha: They report an average package of 3.5 LPA for B.Tech graduates at SHUATS.
  2. Their estimate for the average package is also around 3.5 LPA.
  3. Student reviews: While student reviews offer anecdotal evidence, some mention achieving packages as high as 6 LPA, while others report receiving average offers of around 3 LPA.

Remember, these are just averages, and individual experiences may vary depending on the factors mentioned earlier. It's important to research the specific programme you're interested in and consider other factors like internships and skill development to get a more complete picture of your potential career trajectory after graduating from SHUATS.
