SHUATS (Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology, and Sciences) accommodates a student body exceeding 10,000 enrolled individuals. Firstly, SGPA is calculated in each semester. Credit is allotted to each subject some subjects are for 2 credit some are for 3 upto 7 credit. If you score A in any subject means 10 points B means 8 points C means 6 points D means 4 points E Mains 3 points F means 2 points and subject is of 5 credit than total points in 50 if you score A in that subject if B than 40 so for SGPA calculation, total points for the subject and divide it by total credits allocated for the subject in this way you can ger SGPA. For CGPA, add total SGPA and divide it by total credits of all subjects in all semesters in this way you get CGPA.

Specifically, there is no uniform in the university but still to maintain decorum of the class student need to wear a formal dress pant and for shirts for boys and proper salwar kurta for girls in case of class time you can be allowed to enter if not wearing proper dress but during exams. Specifically, in the viva time formal dress code is must.

Students have to pass the 12th exam with 50 percent marks for general and 45 percent marks for reserved categary if you don't get it then university doesn't give admission in any case then you have to pass the entrance exam but if you have failed to give the entrance exam still you have to fill the form for admission which is approximately 2000 Rs then you have to contact the director for admissions for the subject in which you want to take the admission. If seats are left in that subject after counselling because first they give chance to the students who have cleared entrance then after if seats are left they give admission to the students who want to take admission but missed the entrance exams if seats are available.

Firstly, the students don't fail in internal exams. But even if you fail in the exans don't worry because 1 semester is divided into 3 parts, 10 marks for pre mid term, 20 marks for mid term, 40 marks for semester and 30 marks for viva and practical, if in that subject, there is no practical than 70 marks for theory in the semester exam. Suppose you score 2 marks in pre midterm and you think you failed but actually you failed in pre midterm but out of 100 marks that include pre midterm, midterm and semester you have to score 40 marks for passing the subject so if you score 2 out of 10 in any subject in midterm you score 14 out of 20 and out 70 easily you can score 40 marks because it includes practical also so you won't be considered fail, you will be passed in that exams so need not to worry about pre mid term and mid term because out total 100 marks, you have to pass if you are failed in any term than cover your marks in next paper to score 40 marks out of 100.

University has its own separate boys and girls hostels. There is 4 hostels for boys and 4 for girls also for UG they have old hostel and new hostel international hostels 1 for international students and international hostel 2 indian students can also take room in that hostel and 1 hostel for PG students for boys and girls separately. Beyond that you can take room outside in hostels such as super delux PG hostel, sangam hostel ond other hostel are available nera university within the range of 1 km.

Every club organises  at least one event every year in this university such as literary club organised competition for all university students whether graduate, post graduate a or Ph.D. student. Rangoli club  and environment club also organised various competitions every year. But the biggest fest is annual year fest where fashion shows, dance shows, singing, computer games events and other fun games events are held in that competition, specifically no name is permanent for that fest. Every year students club gives a new name to that fest. Apart from this, annual sports week is also held every year.

Fiist thing is that you have to consider this university as your home, very homely environment and very friendly teachers you get in the university. Secondly attendance is 75 percent and thirdly student must work hard to score 8 CGPA from first semester of you maintain till 3rd semester from the starting, so from 4th semester you can get discount on your fees upto 25 percent.

The most important thing is curriculum is quite different from the other universities it gives extra importance to practical subjects and seminars related to startups many universities except iits and NIT don't focus on it but thus university focus on it and there is no pressure of exams on the students tier semesters are divided in three parts pre mid term, mid term and final exam easily you can pass the exams whatever teacher teaches in the class, almost questions come from there and even you need not to consult the books only the notes are enough to pass the exam.
