I was a student in the B.Tech CSE of 2012 batch, An Engineering programme that seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects for building the problem-solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place. Students will develop competence in areas like programming, Database Management Systems, Networks and Security, Operating Systems, Cloud Computing etc. B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering is related with algorithms, computation, programming languages, programme design, computer hardware, computer software etc. It is a comprehensive course in computer systems and applications. The students who pursue the course of Computer Science Engineering are taught about design, the implementation as well as management of computer software and hardware.
1 Placement: Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 lacs. Per annum by Microsoft in 2020. DURING PANDEMIC THE PLACEMENT 20202021 Cloud ERA has offered 31 Lacs Per annum (CSE) DURING 20192020 CODE NATION = 31 LPA.

SRM is a good university. About LPU I would tell you something interesting, the School trains its students in the campus hotel named University Hotel of 25 rooms hosting national and international guests where students practice along with the staff. The School has five modern kitchens with two bakeries. All kitchens and bakeries are equipped to enable students to perform scientifically and to attain their best of learning through most modern gadgets. We have four training restaurants to teach students about the authentic serving style of food and beverage. LPU labs are equipped with one front office laboratory, two housekeeping laboratories, two computer laboratories with 60 computers, and a simulation laboratory for aviation. A hotel management system is a set of hotel software solutions that keep operations flowing. Good management can really make a huge difference by improving the productivity and efficiency of your hotel. LPUs Hotel Management and Tourism Discipline prepares the students through an industry-endorsed curriculum and intensive service-oriented practicals with industry exposure in excellent infrastructure. The eligibility for the course is Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. There are students from over 70+ countries on the campus. LPU Hotel Management and Tourism Discipline is the gamut of research activities that make it a unique academic environment that stimulates creativity and critical thinking and provides impetus to recruiting, supporting, and developing highly-skilled motivated researchers. It is worth noticing that to motivate students, LPU keeps on organizing different workshops & events and also invites top personalities from the industry. LPU students of the School of Hotel Management and Tourism have got 100% placement with prestigious global establishments this year. LPU students of the year 2015 passing out batch have been placed at allowances/salary up to Rs 22.5 Lacs per annum. Their employers are top hotels, resorts, palaces groups, and airways including Ritz-Carlton (USA), Qatar Airways (Doha), Oberoi Group, Zuri, Grand Hyatt, Sarovar, Broncos, and more. Many of them have already joined their duties in top countries and Indian Cities at coveted posts. The highest salary offered was 8.5 LPA.

SRM is a very good university. I can't do this comparison. I can only give you an overview of LPU since I am a faculty at LPU. The campus of 600+ acres – It may be not of interest to a student as of the Vast area, you'll only be having a particular block for your academics, eight hostels for boys and Six for girls. Your will need a place to stay so hopefully there's more than enough space to accommodate you. That's a plus point. Security measures for girls - If you're a girl and decide to reside in a hostel, you'll have to mark your attendance daily in the hostel to the floor warden and be in the hostel within the entry timings that are 6:00-6:30 in winters and 07:30 in summers probably. So if you don't enter into hostel till that time, you have to face the warden and see for any consequences. That's a bit harsh. While girls may not like this but I am sure their parents would surely do. But if you want to live somewhere else, there are plenty of PGs near the University. You can decide what's best for you, but you'll be super safe inside the hostels than in PGs that's for sure. You can go to the library from 08:00 PM to 12:00 AM. But will be accompanied by a guard from your hostel to the library. More than 200 courses are offered to range from Diploma to PG - You are probably going to find the best course for you among these. That's for sure. Another plus point is that 75% aggregate attendance is mandatory. You'll need to maintain a baseline of 75% aggregate attendance in order to be eligible to give exams. That's harsh and they won't accept any medical leaves or anything. Literally nothing they will accept from you. If you fall below 75% , you are not going to be eligible for final exams until you possess a good percentage in the last term. In that case, they'll provide you with some grace. That's a good point. Also, they have marking criteria for attendance. As your attendance increase or decrease, you'll have marks ranging from 2-to 5. That's for you to decide whether it's a plus point for you or not. Placement - Yes. Students do get placed from the university and a lot of drives are conducted from various companies. No doubt most of the drives are CSE/IT-based. Companies with decent packages come in. You'll have to compete with everyone to grab the opportunity but it'll be worth it. Tons of events - May it be Cultural, Sports, or Academic. There are numerous events held on the University campus itself.
