Hi Ishita,
Thapar is one of the best colleges in North India and getting CSE there is a big thing. Because there is a 50% quota for Punjab students which made it difficult for someone from outside Punjab with such a high rank. But there is a procedure that if you score a good GPA in the first year, you can apply for an upgrade and according to the merit, you will be upgraded.
All the best.

Yes, you get out of 100 including practical marks.
70-Theory and 30-Practical
The aggregate is calculated marks from 100.

Mechanical department of Thapar is well recognized. Thapar's best branch is mechanical. So, yes, placements of any sub-branch of mechanical is good. If you have interest, take it without any doubt.

All you need, is a good brushup of current affairs. Be confident and that would suffice. Also, your etiquette and body language play a huge role. GD is not debate you should keep that in mind.

Have a look at the campus placements of SRM CSE. Do compare it with BMS.

You should choose NIT Raipur as the NIT colleges are most placements providing colleges and having good education quality as well. So you should go for that. All the best
Thank You.

Yes. You can give a try. According to first counselling list of thapar, 60 score can get you in your 2-3rd preferred branch. But undoubtedly, you can get admission in thapar. Visit: www.thapar.edu.

Electronics from NIT (J). Look, first of all NIT has more reputation than thapar. Though Teaching of thapar is more better than NIT, but Thapar's standard is decreasing day by day. Plus, fees gap between two is so high!
I would suggest, NITJ.
