A candidate with just 60% in their Class 12 marks is extremely unlikely to be admitted for a B.Sc. at Thapar  School of Liberal Arts and Sciences.For the majority of B.Sc. programs, such as physics, chemistry, mathematics, etc., the minimum cutoffs stay above 75% to 80% for the corresponding subject combinations in the 12th boards.The 12th grade grades and the TIET-LSAT entrance exam scores are given 40% weight each in the admission criteria. A mere 60% on the boards places you in a very disadvantageous position.Due to intense competition, the cutoffs for well-known programs like B.Sc. Mathematics and Economics frequently reach 90%+ in the final admission rounds.Sometimes candidates from CBSE/ICSE boards with scores higher than 90% are not admitted.
