The TISS Online Assessment round is divided into two stages: Extempore reflection and Personal Interview. The Online Assessment will be conducted for 20-30 minutes. In the Extempore round of the TISS Online Assessment, candidates will be asked to present a reflection on a given topic in front of the three panel members. The extempore round will be conducted online via Zoom application. The topic will be in accordance with the program applied for. Candidates will have to present the reflection for a duration of two to three minutes. In case, candidates are not comfortable with the first topic, they can request for second chance and change the topic. However, candidates will not be given a third chance to change the topic. Some of the Extempore topics asked were: 1. A firm is its CEO's reflection 2. Challenges of managing a remote workforce 3. Ethics of logical reasoning in decision making 4. Inclusivity and Diversity at Workplace 5. Corporate loan defaulters and farm loan waivers 6. Importance of Change Management in Human Resource Management 7. The first merit list is expected to release in third week of May 2024 at admissions.tiss.edu. Candidates who will appear for the TISS selection process will be able to check their admission status in the merit list. Candidates must note that appearing for the TISS Online Assessment rounds does not guarantee seats to the candidates at the TISS campus. Tata Institute of Social Sciences conducts the TISSNET selection process soon after the declaration of results. The TISSNET admission process for the 2024-25 session will commence in second week of April 2024. Candidates who will appear for the TISSNET exam and qualify the cutoff criteria will be shortlisted for the TISS Online Assessment rounds. The Online Assessment of TISS consists of Personal Interviews and Extempore rounds. To appear for the OA rounds, shortlisted candidates must compulsorily fill the Detail Application Form (DAF) on or before the prescribed last date. On the basis of the applications received, candidates are assigned the date on which they have to appear for the OA rounds. The OA rounds are conducted in online mode via the Zoom application. It is conducted for a duration of 20-30 minutes by the three-panel members. The aim of OA rounds is to assess the candidate's interest in the selected programme. The final selection is then based on the candidate's performance in the TISSNET exam (50%) and Online Assessments (Extempore (20%) and PI (30%). .

Candidates who will appear for the Online Assessment must follow the important tips for preparation mentioned below:Know the programme: Candidates must ensure to familiarise themselves with the programme they have applied for. Candidates must know the programme structure and learning areas. 2. The latest events: Candidates must stay updated with the current events happening related to the programme applied for. Candidates must focus on reading articles and newspapers. 3. Enhance communication skills: Extempore and Personal Interview round assesses the candidate's communication skills. To enhance the skill, candidates must practice by preparing for common interview questions like a brief about themselves, inspiration to pursue this field of study, strengths and weaknesses; and How to improve the weaknesses; and Long-term career goals; how to handle stress and pressure and so forth. 4. Listening skills: Along with communication skills, candidates must focus on enhancing listening skills. 5. No use of non-verbal communication 6. Review DAF: Candidates must read their Detail Application Form before appearing for Online Assessment rounds. 7. Do not fake academic achievements 8. Appear for the TISS entrance exam- in the first stage candidates must ensure to fill the application form to appear for the TISS entrance exam. The TISSNET exam is conducted for admission to various PG courses. Candidates must enter the courses that they want to appear for. Candidates are not required to fill out separate forms to apply for different courses. Aspirants must then appear for the entrance exam on mentioned date, time and venue.2. OA rounds- Based on the scores obtained in the TISSNET, candidates meeting the qualifying cutoff criteria will be shortlisted for the Online Assessment rounds. However, the weightage of TISSNET score in the final selection varies for different programs. For most programs, the weightage of TISSNET score is around 40-50%, while the weightage of PI. (Pre-Interview Test) and PI Personal Interview is around 50-60%. However, for some programs, such as the M.A. In Human Resource Management and Labour Relations, the weightage of TISSNET score is higher (around 70%) than the weightage of PI. And PI. Therefore, it is important to check the specific weightage of TISSNET score for the programme you are applying to. This information is usually available on the TISS website or in the admission brochure. In any case, it is important to prepare well for all three components of the selection process TISSNET PIT, and PI in order to maximize your chances of admission to TISS.
