Master of Arts in Social Work (Dalit and Tribal Studies and Action) is an intensive and theoretically engaging field with the academic programme premised within a Dalit and Tribal Episteme. Academically oriented students dedicated to the empowerment of Dalits and Tribes and students interested in understanding Indian structural realities from the lived experiences of Dalits and Tribes would greatly beneit from the programme. The programme is the first of its kind in the world, providing students with wide theoretical exposure to international politico historical and political economic discourses situated within the lived and shared experiences of Dalits in South Asia and Adivasis from India and other regions of the world.
Students get to know more by field visit(visiting Dalit and Tribal area and talking to them). Moreover curriculum is framed by eminent professors.

Yes, she can apply at other central universities like Aligarh Muslim University, Jamia Millia Islamia, and Pondicherry University etc .The window for admission to MSW in TISS is closed now.

Fees u2013 Rs.1 Lacs per annum including tuition fees, hostel accommodation and mess charges is very nominal, despite TISS being in prime Mumbai location. Reason being that TISS is aimed at MSW too.
