Admission to PhD is based on NET/ SET/ GATE score. University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata offers a full-time/ part-time/ integrated PhD programme with different specialisations. The duration of PhD course varies between three and six years duration. Candidates must complete a master's degree or PG diploma/ degree in any discipline with at least 60% aggregate to apply for the PhD course. 

For admission to BTech at UEM Kolkata, candidates must fulfil the basic educational qualification as per the course requirements. Interested candidates must pass Class 10 and Class 12 with minimum 70% aggregate. They must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in Class 12. Candidates who hold a UG degree of either Engineering/ Science or Management are eligible to apply for MBA admission at UEM Kolkata. Admission to this course is entirely entrance-based.
