For the majority of courses, the SEWA Community College of Mumbai is affiliated with the University of Mumbai. This community college is accredited and approved by the Ministry of External Affairs. The college has 21 departments offering admission to various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses. Some of its courses, like law, medicine, and ayurveda, are affiliated with other universities approved by UGC. Its technical and vocational courses, for example, are AICTE-approved, whereas distance courses are approved by the Distance Education Bureau (DEB). .

In last year, graduations students are also allowed to apply for CAT EXAM to be a part of MBA programme. The other criteria is that candidate must have 50% or aggregate and above in his Bachelor's course from a recognised board and University.
