The institute offers a strong foundation in basic sciences, highly qualified faculty, and well-equipped research facilities, making it an excellent choice for students seeking quality education in the field of basic sciences.Institute of Mass Communication and Media Technology (IMCMT) is a communication and Media Technology College established in 2006. It is located in a huge campus in Thanesar Haryana. It is affiliated to Kurukshetra University Haryana and is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi. IMCMT Kurukshetra offers many UG, PG and Doctoral courses in Media and Communication. UG courses include B.Tech; B.Sc, Integrated B.Sc and B.A., B.Tech Course include Printing Engineering with 30 seats of intake. College runs B.Sc and M.Sc in Graphics with 30 seats of intake per course and B.A. in Mass Communication with 40 seats of intake. PG courses include M.Sc, M.A. in Mass Communication and M.Phil with 30 seats of intake. All the courses are approved by University Grants Communication (UGC). College also offers Ph.D programme in Mass Communication and Media Technology. The eligibility for B.Tech course is that the candidate must have passed 10+2 with minimum 50% of marks and the compulsory subjects are Physics, Chemistry and Maths. The admission is done on the basis of rank obtained in JEE Mains and a Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Kurukshetra University. The admission is done by merit released by university. For B.A. admissions the eligibility is that the applicant is possessed 10+2 degree with minimum 50% marks with English as one subject. For B.Sc and M.Sc and Integrated B.Sc + M.Sc admissions the candidate must have passed 10+2 with minimum 50% marks and English as one subject. For M.A. admissions the eligibility is that the applicant is possessed a Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks in any discipline. For M.Phil. admissions the eligibility is that the applicant is possessed a Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks in any discipline with a recognised college or university. For Ph.D admissions post graduation is mandatory degree to get admission. The admission to different courses is done on the basis of CET for which the applicants can apply online by visiting on their website.
