The highest domestic package offered was around INR. 17 LPA (but not sure for which specialization) and the average domestic package was around INR. 4 LPA - INR. 5 LPA.

I would say UPES without a doubt is better in placements for MBA students, especially if you are a mechanical graduate. It has 96% placements in last 3 years, and is consistently ranked amongst the best universities for MBA placements. Furthermore, UPES also has consistency in MBA placements and fortune 500 companies regularly recruit MBA students from UPES. Not only this, UPES has many specialised MBA programs that you can pursue which are not available in other universities. These MBA specializations have immense scope and the placement record is also top-tier. The overall package offered to MBA students in UPES is also higher. A lot of fortune 500 brands that specialize in mechanical engineering recruit MBA students from UPES. Brands like Volvo, Eicher, Maersk, Adani, and others hire students from UPES. So, I will suggest you go pursue MBA in UPES if you want a good placement. Also, it is in Dehradun, which is nice place to study and the weather is also really good.

Hi,
I am sure that you must be clear about the best university by reading the other answers and I would suggest you the same as everyone else did. UPES-Dehradun is better than any other college. UPES offers more than 15 specialised B.Tech courses in Information Technology and Computer Science and 93% of B.Tech in CSE batch was placed successfully this year. The highest package was 14.81 LPA and the average package being 4.06 LPA. So, I think it just adds another point to why you should go to UPES and not in any other university.

No, for management quota, you won't be asked these things and also after the 1st or 2nd round they only offer admission based on your conditions.

You should opt for UPES as in IPU, getting any good college at this rank for an outside Delhi student is not possible.
