Yes, it is good for CSE. If you will do your best then you will get a good placement. Many companies come here which give packages more than 10 LPA. So there are chances that you will get good package. Also academic of UPES is good.

It's up to you that how much capacity you are. Placements are good. If we do not talk about mass recruitment then placements are very good. Even in mass recruitment, you can get package more than 4 LPA. Top recruiters in UPES are IBM, L&T, Mic

I don't think there is any other way to get admission in UPES without applying for it. You have to apply for it.

UPES is going to introduce its new branch i.e. CS in machine learning. So it will be good if you want to go for ML.
RV College is also good.
But if you want specialisation, then you should choose UPES.

Counselling is starting from 31 may. So there are very less chances that you will get petroleum branch. There are only 20-25% chances for getting petroleum engineering. But you can try for it.
