Hi,
I think you have taken the right decision by taking admission in UPES. No need of applying for TDV.
At UPES, you even have different domains to choose from the B. Des. Programme.
All the Best.

Hi Priyank,UPES is offering two aerospace branches -
B.Tech. Aerospace Engineering
Aerospace Engineering with specialization in Avionics. The Avionics deals with the mechanical and the latter deals with the electronics (avionics) of the aircraft/spacecraft, etc. In specialization in avionics - programme combines concepts and techniques in aeronautics, electronics and instrumentation. And HITS is offering B.Tech. Aerospace Engineering. Talking about placements in UPES the average package from UPES in the domain is around INR 4.5 LPA, the highest package offered is around INR 15 LPA. Companies like Rolls Royce, Mahindra aerospace visited campus. The overall placement is around 80% of the batch, for research purpose, the UPES provides a good platform as compare to HITS. Talking about HITS placements, the students are placed in single digit the core company visits less. So, if you are really interested in aerospace then you should go for UPES. Good luck.

Hi Avijeet,
Your question is incomplete, as you haven't mentioned about the stream of engineering for the placement comparison. It is quite an important factor as the Institute's placement varies according them. However, if BE in Computer Science & Engineering is considered, the comparison can be like
BITS>Manipal University>VIT>UPES>SRM>KIIT.
