The faculty members in VIT Chennai are all doctorates and Ph.D. holders. Each department in engineering contains a dean, a hod and other staff members which is again classified into professors, associate professors and assistant professors followed by the research scholars. Electronics department alone boasts for its enormous number of 100+ faculty members only in VIT Chennai. Each and every teacher here, are highly qualified and they cater to meet the needs of every student from his/her base. There are teachers coming from various parts of the country as well as the globe. Regular industrial visits are taken by the faculty members to ensure practical exposure to the students are attained based on the course that they handle.
