Both universities have strong industry connections and reputable recruiters. MAKAUT is better for students focusing on high-end placements, while Vidyasagar is more suitable for those seeking an affordable MBA program.

Eligibility criteria for the MBA admission at Vidyasagar University generally include a valid score in national exams like CAT, MAT or CMAT. However, admission may pose a challenge with a mere 50 percentile in CAT as most Universities including Vidyasagar University have a higher cutoff, especially for competitive exams like CAT.This is what you can expect:CAT Percentile Cutoff: Most institutes look forward to a CAT percentile of more than 60-70% and above. Almost below that, the cutoffs change with the number of applicants, exam difficulty, and number of seats available each year.Other Points: If your percentile in CAT is low, some things might work in your favor:MAT/CMAT scores: A better score in MAT/CMAT would reduce the impact of the poor CAT score.Academic Background: A sound academic background by and large - in graduation, of course - would also do well.Work Experience: Some institutions positively look at work experience at the time of selection.Personal Interview (PI): Even if one doesn't meet the cutoff of CAT, doing well in the Personal Interview round on the other hand will elevate the chances.Admission Process at Vidyasagar University: Entrance Exam: Generally would have to clear a state-level entrance exam or university selection process if CAT scores don't meet cutoffs. Direct admission: If the CAT score is below the cutoff, direct admission opportunities still exist through the norms of the university or from other exams.University admission offices are your best bet for secure and current revelations about cutoffs and alternative routes of entrance.
