VIT UNIVERSITY BHOPAL - The good, the bad, and the ugly.
Placements: One sole thing for which the students enter the college is, after 4 years, what will they be able to earn. The college makes huge advertisements about 99% placements, but everything is just words. It depends on the student how much he or she can crack, by developing the required skills and honesty, not depending totally on the college itself. The highest package was 41 LPA for my batch, but the average is around 4-5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is bare minimum, since most of the campus is under construction. There is one Academic Block and the second is under construction. The AB can accommodate around 3 batches of students, since not every student has the classes scheduled at the same time. The Wi-Fi speed is around 4-5 Mbps, which is also just bare minimum. The hostel rooms and washrooms are nice, except block 1, and the food is actually pretty good for the most part. There is one cafeteria and one shop, you can say, Underbelly and Mayuri, which also has decent food. Medical facilities are poor, that's all I'll say, but at least they are there. For sports and games, there is no such ground where one can play, nor any park or recreational area.
Faculty: The one good thing about the college is the faculty members. Not all, but some faculty members are genuinely helpful and will help you in clearing your concepts. I developed my interest in Machine Learning because of one of my faculty. The exams are, I would say, easy to moderate level of difficulty, but it depends on the faculty and the subject. There is relative grading for most of the subjects, which is a positive.
Other: There is one fest, ADVITYA, which is pretty good, and this year, Mohit Chauhan came for the concert night. Other than that, there are many events, which are organized by clubs, happening regularly. The main problem is, the campus is 70 km from Bhopal, which makes it very inaccessible for the students. The cab to the city costs anywhere between 2000 to 2500 for a round trip.

VIT Bhopal, Underdeveloped but fun and happening!
Placements: VIT Bhopal University has completed 7 years so far, and 3 batches have passed out with flying placements. Placements are entirely managed by the Centralized Placement Cell, which is located at the VIT Chennai Campus. So far, in 3 batches, the highest on-campus package is 59 LPA. All major IT firms come to the table to offer to the students.
Infrastructure: As of May 2024, there are 6 boys hostels, 3 girls hostels, and 3 academic buildings. Being a relatively new campus established in 2017, construction activity is still going on in places for new hostels and academic blocks. There is a full-time doctor available 24/7 with free-of-charge dedication for hosts. Indoor sports facilities are also available for sports such as table tennis, badminton, basketball, etc. The mess offers a vast menu for four meals a day (breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner). A variety of North Indian as well as South Indian food and vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and Jain options are available. Read Utter, Jam, and Seasonal Fruits are offered daily at breakfast; tea, coffee, and milk are the standard offerings at breakfast and snacks.
Faculty: VIT Bhopal has a 100% doctorate faculty. It offers various courses to choose from in CSE with specializations like AI and ML, cloud computing, cybersecurity, gaming technology, commerce technology, health informatics, educational technology, etc. Apart from these integrated M.Teach (5-year programs), BBA Mechanical Engineering, B.Arch., MBA, BCA, and MCA are also offered. Teaching is completely interactive, ensuring student participation for all. Semester exams are easy to pass if you have paid attention in class or gone through the materials provided by the faculty.
Other: The campus is a little off-place, with 65 km to Bhopal City (it usually takes 1 hour 30 minutes). It is located on the Bhopal-IIndore highway in the Kothri Kalan area. Being a main highway, connectivity to both Bhopal and Indore is excellent, with public buses passing every 15–30 minutes from the campus gate. All major delivery channels, like Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, XpressBees, etc., deliver here without any issue. There is an India Post office located within the campus, which helps in sending or receiving parcels. The campus is not so happening in terms of food outlets; so far, only 2 options are available, which definitely have a vast menu at a reasonable price. Technical, non-technical, and regional clubs regularly organize events for student involvement and development. Apart from these, there is a stationary shop located in the Academic Block where we can get all study supplies like notebooks, pens, printouts, etc. And a grocery store for daily needs such as snacks, toiletries, etc. Apart from this, each mess has a store of its own where we can buy snacks, fruits, or order food from Ala Carte if we wish to.

An honest review about VIT Bhopal University.
Placements: Nearly 80–90% of students get placed in this institute. The highest package is 54 lpa, and the average package is 4-5 lpa. TCS hires most of the students. Internships are very low in our college, and the industrial training is only one month long. So, unless you are an extraordinary student, don't expect a high package from a private college.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure at VIT Bhopal University are not very developed, as the institute was only established in 2017. The classrooms are good but don't have air conditioning, and the library is not well developed. The hostel facilities are better than other colleges, and the mess food is edible. The canteen is not very good, the medical facilities are good, and the sports facilities are poor.
Faculty: All the teachers are well qualified, as this institute consists of 100% PhD facilities, and they have great knowledge as well. And the course is according to making the students ready for industry. Semester exams are not difficult, as we only have to be focused.
Other: I chose this course because artificial intelligence is the future, and I was fascinated to learn how it works. The college conducts events, but you have to pay an entry fee. The campus has a huge festival called Advitya.

Promising placements. Nice faculty. Academics are prioritized. The placements are good.
Placements: Recently 94% students have been placed from the 2023 outgoing batch. The highest package bagged was 54 LPA and the average package was around 6-8 LPA. Top recruiters include CISCO, IBM, Honda, TCS and many more. 96% Students got internships in companies like Microsoft, Google, IBM, Amazon and CISCO. The best roles that are offered after placement are Software engineer, Artificial Intelligence Engineer, Software Developer etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is in a developing phase. Most of the hostels are newly built so they have good rooms. The mess food is average. Sports facilities are compromised due to academics. So, if you're a sports enthusiast, this might not be the place for you. The Wi-Fi is fine. The labs are well-equipped, classrooms are fine. Library is quiet and is open even on Sundays. For medical assistance, there is a medical room in the hostel and if the condition is serious, there is an ambulance too. A Barber and canteens are also available.
Faculty: The teachers are really nice. All of them have a Ph.D. degree from renowned institutes. They have good knowledge about their subjects. Teaching quality is very nice and the course curriculum is extremely relevant. They teach coding languages and even DSA. It makes the students industry ready as everyone has to go to a trip in their 5th semester where the students experience how the industries work. If you focus on what is being taught in classes, then you will not have much difficulties in the semester exams. They also have Fully Flexible Credit System in which students are free to choose the faculty of their choice and they can even select the time slots. The passing percentage in semester exams is 40% individually in both mid-sem and term-end examinations.
Other: AI is a trending branch and I myself am inclined towards mechanics. So I chose this course as it offered me AI and Machine Learning. The best thing about the college is the placements. This field opens up a lot of domains that you can work in. The annual fest is called Advitiya and it is huge. This year Mohit Chauhan was invited to perform in the campus. Many events are conducted every month. The campus crowd is little better than average, but if you work hard you can easily shine out.

Pros and cons of VIT Bhopal University.
Placements: Almost every year, almost 95 percent of the students get placed. VIT Bhopal tries its best and keeps providing opportunities to students who didn't get a job offer. The lowest package will be like 3-4 LPA, the highest was 75 LPA, and the average is like 8 LPA. As I am in the first year, I don't know much about the top recruiters in our course. But I have talked to some seniors, and they said that they got opportunities from companies like Amazon, Intel, Wipro, and Microsoft. Not all students get good internships from the college. Seniors say that either you have to be an exceptionally skilled developer, or you should have a very good CGPA if you are not that skilled. And it's great if you have both. And those who don't have a very good CGPA or skill, some of them try to get internships without the help of college. Top roles were like ML engineer, Data Analyst, Data Science engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The hostel is not that bad; it's good, except for block 1 (Normal Block), which is terrible. Premium blocks like block 2, 3, 4, 5, and even 6 are good. They are building a second academic block if I am not wrong. They are working on a shopping complex made for students and on block 6. The library is small for such a big college. Books are less, and space is limited; sometimes, it is very crowded, and you don't get a seat to sit and study. Wi-Fi speed is okay but not good. The best downloading speed is like 4 mbps. Wi-Fi is available almost everywhere, in the entire hostels, in classrooms, but you might not be able to connect to Wi-Fi in the library. There are two types of mess. One is handled by Mayuri caterers, another one is handled by CRCL. CRCL is for block 1. Mayuri is for all the other blocks. The mess food by Mayuri is good and hygienic. The food served in CRCL is terrible. Only the non-veg of CRCL is good. In Mayuri, both veg and non-veg are good. Medical facilities are okay. They will take you to a nearby hospital if it's an emergency and they can't treat you. Post facilities are there in college. Sports facilities are not good. Labs are good. The lab complex is a separate building for labs. The lab complex is really beautiful. Faculty members are like okay. Some faculty members are very bad, but the rest of the teachers are either average or good. They give good guidance.
Faculty: The majority of the teachers are qualified enough, but not all of them provide the best teaching. If I take a rough guess, then 60 percent of the teachers are overall very good. This course is very promising for the future. Semester exams are not that hard; most of the students pass. Students only fail in difficult subjects like DSA, computer network, EEE, and Engineering Physics. Some teachers will even tell you the important topics, so that you can score better.
Other: In the next 20 years, AI and ML will take over the IT sector. That's what I think. It is my personal opinion. I wish there were more hands-on quick guides while teaching the concepts of AI/ML. But I think it is okay; students can manage as the college has a coding environment.

VITEEE has cancelled, and its eligibility criteria is minimum 75% in 12th and you mentioned your category but there is no reservation in VIT colleges. I hope you got the answer. Thank you.
