The university has been ranked at the 28th, 55th, and 15th positions by the NIRF under the Overall, Management, and Engineering categories respectively. The placement season for the 2022 batch started on July 15. The institutes, 81 students from all four campuses of VIT Vellore, Chennai, Amarvati and Bhopal received the pay packages of above INR 25 LPA in its initial phase of placement season and the highest CTC stood at INR 75 LPA. The PG internship placements at VIT started in March 2021, which is going on simultaneously and has seen participation of 118 companies which has already selected 912 students from the 2022 graduation batch.
