Yes, there is a lot of difference. If you want CS and you should have rank under 10000 otherwise it will be a load of expenses to take in it.

Yes, you got a good rank. You will get IT branch, but you may have to wait for the counselling process. With this rank, you will get IT in the 3rd or 4th round of counselling.

According to the cut-off released this year, only those students are called for counseling whose rank is less than 20000 on 10th May. So, it seems to be not possible as your rank is 30000 so just wait and see if they call you. You must try in
