The threshold that the candidate has to score in the admission to the VIT - Vidyalankar Institute of Technology depends on the course a candidate is applying for and what category he or she belongs to. For B.E./B.Tech courses, the percentage there in JEE Main has been around 80-90% and in MHT CET, it is around 90-95%. The minimum requirement for Computer Engineering is between 92-95 percentile in JEE Main and between 95-98 percentile in MHT CET. For the other branches such as electronics and telecommunication engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering it lies around 80-90 of JEE Main percentiles and 90-95 of MHT CET. The cutoff marks however differ year by year depending with the performance of those students in their entrance examinations.

B.Tech: It is a privilege to be admitted to this university therefore admissions are through VITEEE (VIT Engineering Entrance Exam). Positions less than 20,000 rank assure a candidate a position in the core branches.2. MBA: The entrance test scores accepted are CAT/XAT/MAT/GMAT/CMAT/ATMA. A percentile above 75 is good.3. M.Tech: Depending on the performance obtained in VITMEE or GATE both are acceptable.4. B.Sc/M.Sc.: Based on merit or VITEEE, based on the course.5. Law: VIT has it's own law entrance test. Secondly, candidates need to complete the online application form and give the information about their personal life, as well as education. Thirdly, candidates have to upload mandatory documents such as 10th and 12th standard marks sheet, JEE Main or MHT CET scorecard, caste certificate (if applicable). Fourthly, each candidate is required to submit an application fee of INR 1000 only through the online payment method. Last but not the least, candidates have to fill as well as download the application form where the acknowledgment receipt also will be needed in the future.

For instance, the MHT CET 2023 results were treated in June 15, 2023. For obtaining the accurate result date for the current year it is advised to visit the official link of State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra or VIT for updated result dates. Furthermore, the MHT CET threshold shifts according to various courses and categories for VIT from 80-95 percentile.
