To get admission into XLRI (Xavier School of Management), your performance in the XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is crucial, as academic scores have lesser weightage. With 90% in 10th, 73% in 12th, and 75% in B.Tech, aim for a 98+ percentile in XAT for competitive programs like BM or HRM. XLRI emphasizes the overall profile, so strong XAT scores, work experience (if any), and performance in the GD-PI round can significantly enhance your chances of selection.

One of India's top management schools, XLRI Jamshedpur, requires applicants to score highly on the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), the entrance exam for its MBA programs, to be admitted. Although the precise criteria can change every year depending on variables like the candidate pool and the particular program, a percentile of roughly 90 to 95 is generally regarded as competitive for admission. For instance, greater percentiles, sometimes above 95, may be required for more coveted programs like Business Management (BM) and Human Resource Management (HRM), even though a score of 90 percentile can be adequate for some specialisations. Moreover, throughout the selection process, XLRI takes into account additional elements like work experience, academic achievement, and performance in the in-person interview. To increase their chances of getting accepted into this esteemed university, prospective students should strive for the best XAT percentile.
