About Lawrence Technological University
Founded in 1932, Lawrence Technological University is a private institution of higher education situated in Southfield, Michigan, United States. Also called Lawrence Tech or LTU, the university originated from the Lawrence Institute of Technology. In 1955, the institution was shifted to Southfield to expand campus areas.

Amid the economic chaos of the Great Depression, Russell E. Lawrence founded Lawrence Tech, which was later led by his brother E. George Lawrence from 1934-64.
