- As a graduate student in the computer science program, the majority of the time will be spent doing advanced research in one of the computer science department's major area of excellence: critical infrastructure protection
- Students will have a thesis and non-thesis option
- Thesis Option: This track requires the completion of graduate course work (a minimum of 9 at the 6000 level in computer science lecture courses and one credit hour of CS 6010 Seminar), six to nine hours of research, and the successful completion and defense of a research thesis all to total 31 hours
- Non Thesis option: This track requires the completion of 31 hours of graduate coursework (a minimum of 15 at the 6000 level in computer science lecture courses and one credit hour of CS 6010 Seminar)
