Application & Tuition Fees
Is there any application fees?
Eindhoven University of Technology charges an application fee of EUR 100 from all international students for all types of courses. The fee is non-refundable. Students can pay the fee by credit card, banker’s draft, or cheque. Application fee in cash is not possible due to the pandemic.
What is the fee structure of the different courses available at the university?

Is there any scholarship or financial aid available for international students?
The university offers various scholarships and awards to international students. The scholarships are based on merit, academic excellence, or the financial need of students.
TU/e Scholarships International Students
Discussed below are a few scholarships offered by TU/e to international students:
Holland Scholarships
It is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education and research universities. The scholarship consists of EUR 5,000, a one-time payment to students enrolled in the first year of their master's programs. Students can apply for the scholarship before February. Students are not required to apply for the scholarship separately. They can apply along with their master's application through the university's admission portal.
ALSP Scholarships
The ALSP scholarship consists of a tuition fee waiver of EUR 16,000 and living expenses of EUR 5,000 every year for two years. It is available to students enrolled in a master's program. It is awarded to students who have achieved the highest grades during the previous educational degree. Students can apply for this scholarship along with their master’s application.

What are the steps to the application process?
International students can apply to undergraduate and graduate courses offered by TU/e via an integrated admission portal, Studielink. The step-by-step process to application is as follows:
Step 1: Visit www.studielink.nl and create an account.
Step 2: Create a password using an email address. Fill in your personal details such as name, email address, contact information, gender, citizenship, etc.
Step 3: Fill in your address details such as country details, citizenship, phone number, postal code, home address, etc.
Step 4: Select a study programme according to your interests.
Step 5: After filling in all the required details, review and submit the application.
Next, wait for the results.
When will I hear from the university after I submit my application?
The university will process an application as soon as it is received. All the applications are individually processed. Students might hear from the university within a couple of weeks after application submission. They may also check their application status on the admission portal.
Please note that decisions are announced online and all the student-specific communication from the university is done via email. Hence, students must register with an active email address to keep a track on all university notifications, especially in their spam folder. What are the chances of getting into this university?
Eindhoven University of Technology is moderately selective. All application are assessed individually based on both academic and non-academic achievements. The university assesses the academic average, merit, interview scores, work and school experience, etc., to review applicants’ performance.

Part Time Work While Studying
Can I work while studying here?
Students are allowed to work on and off-campus while studying at this university. They can work for 16 hours a week during a study session and full-time during holidays and summer vacations.
However, students can only work if they have a work permit from their employers. Students cannot apply for work permits themselves but can ask the employer for one.
The university allows students to work for their departments as per their study fields. It also offers internships, assistantships, and part-time jobs to students. The eligibility requirements for employment are given below:

Students can also work off-campus or at nearby restaurants, book stores, cafés, fashion stores, etc. They can also search for various job vacancies using job portals such as Indeed and LinkedIn.
Note: International students are advised to check the conditions of working in a foreign country on their study visa. They are also advised to confirm any specific instructions on the same from their respective departments and faculties. Under no circumstances should they be found compromising with the law and order of the country.

Campuses & Accommodation
How many campuses does the university have?
The university has only one campus in Eindhoven, Netherlands comprising various libraries and research centres. Some of the features of the only university campus are:
It boasts a smoke-free campus and a sports centre that caters over 70 different sports along with 40 sports associations. To support the multicultural environment in the university premises, TU/e conducts various cultural events and activities.
Is on-campus housing available? How much does it cost?
Yes, on-campus housing facilities are available at the university. However, due to shortage, students might be required to look for off-campus accommodation for living.
TUE On-Campus Accommodation
The university has nearly 700 apartments for international students in Luna and Aurora. In these apartment blocks reside hundreds of national and international students and staff members. The nearby areas have grand café/restaurant, supermarket, movie theatre, and sports centre.
Aurora Location
With over 300 student homes, this location offers comfortable homes and beautiful view of Dommel as well as sports fields.
Luna Location
Luna is a formal potential building that was transformed into an apartment block with 441 units for student and staff accommodation.
New Residential Towers on the Campus
The construction companies, Heijmans, and housing corporation, Woonbedrijf, are in the process of building a Dommel 'Village to allow 735 student dorms/rooms. These are intended to have two residential towers and their completion is expected in the academic year 2023-2024.
Off-Campus Accommodation and Cost
Till then, it can be difficult to find a reasonably good accommodation facility in Eindhoven. Thus, the university advises students to arrange their housing 2 months before arrival. Students are also advised to read the housing contracts before making a financial commitment. The rent amount can be between EUR 450 and EUR 850 per month.
Students may also stay with their friends or families. The cost for living off-campus might range between EUR 10,000 and EUR 12,000 per year. The costs may change based on students’ lifestyles and the location of the housing facilities.
