• A Master's program applicant should have a (minimum) 4 year Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or its affiliated college. Accreditation should be by NAAC, AICTE, or the institute should be on the list of Institutes of National Importance. In case of accreditation by AICTE student should include a statement in the application documents from the university confirming the AICTE accreditation.
• A CGPA of at least 8.5 on a 1-10 scale. If applicant university does not award a CGPA applicant average mark should be 75%.

A Bachelor's degree oriented in Architecture, Built Environment, Civil Engineering and Building Management with Specific knowledge, skills and understanding is required in:

• mathematics and statistics
• research methodology
• building information modeling and/or analyzing and modeling geographical information
• urban planning OR building technology

Specific knowledge, skills and understanding is recommended in:

• urban development
• urban transportation
• smart cities
