The application fee charged to international students for all graduate and undergraduate courses is EUR 75, except for Business Administration courses, for which the application fee is EUR 150. This fee is non-refundable.

Is there any scholarship or financial aid available for international students?

 

Yes, Radboud University awards various scholarships to national or international students. However, it is very selective when awarding scholarships to any of its students. Scholarships are offered to the most talented and highly motivated students at the university based on their academic excellence and merit scores.

There are two types of Radboud scholarships - Full Scholarships and Partial Scholarships. Full scholarships cover tuition fees up to a maximum of EUR 16,000 and living costs of EUR 10,800. Partial scholarships only cover a part of the tuition fees of EUR 2,168.

Eligibility for International Students

  • Students must have an international passport
  • Students must have a bachelor’s degree from outside the Netherlands
  • Students must meet the minimum English proficiency requirements

Part Time Work While Studying

 

Can I work while studying here?

 

Yes, international students are allowed to work on and off-campus while studying at the university. Students can work for a maximum of 16 hours a week during study semesters. However, during vacations in June, July, and August, students can work full-time. Students are required to have a valid work permit to work in the country.

The university also offers various teaching assistant vacancies to students to help them gain practical experience in their field of study. The pay scale differs based on students’ experience and hourly work.

Students can also take up part-time off-campus jobs during study semesters and full-time during vacations and university holidays. Job vacancies can be found using job portals such as Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.

Note: International students are advised to check the conditions of working in a foreign country on their study visa. They are also advised to confirm any specific instructions on the same from their respective departments and faculties. Under no circumstances should they be found compromising with the law and order of the country.

The university has only one campus spread across 100 hectares of land in Radboud, Nijmegen. The campus has 7 faculties, 15 research institutes, 1 Humanities labs, cafes, 1 Donders Institute, various sports centres, and multiple libraries.

 

Is on-campus housing available? How much does it cost?

 

Yes, Radboud offers several housing accommodation options to international students. Students can live in student houses or complexes at Nijmegen. Every room has a bathroom and a kitchen. The rent for student housing at Nijmegen ranges between EUR 370 and EUR 470. The amenities include Wi-Fi, study lounges, laundry facilities, desks, tables, fully furnished rooms, etc.
