Study in Australia: Recently, Australian High Commissioner to India Philip Green said that the international student visa rejection rates are almost the same as the previous year and there is no increase in the visa rejection rates. However, now Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said on 3AW radio that the government is determined to cut immigration by the end of the next financial year.

“What we’ve been doing is making sure that in areas such as vocational education, for example, some people were coming here doing courses that were, frankly, Mickey Mouse courses, using that to stay here for a very long period,” he said, as reported by The Pie News.

The Australian Prime Minister also added that the government want to reduce the number of immigrants to about half of what it has been.

“We are projecting is that the NOM, the net overseas migration, is projected to come down to 250,000 in the coming financial year in 2024/25,” he said.

Aussie’s are on streets this winter due to record immigration numbers, says Australian Politician

An Australian politician, Ben Dawkins, who is a member of the Western Australian Legislative Council (MLC) said on the X platform, "LABOR’S RECORD IMMIGRATION DRIVING AUSTRALIA’S HOUSING CRISIS - ‘Racist’ is what was repeatedly yelled at me by one Labor MP off camera for just mentioning immigration !  I touched a raw nerve because Aussie’s are on the streets this winter due to record immigration numbers."

While replying to his message, Political Economist Philip Soos said on X,"A One Nation politician in Western Australia was called racist by a Labor MP for pointing out that housing is being overwhelmed by immigration. This is how Labor politicians think: you can never have a rational argument against immigration, so you must be racist by definition."

Despite, Australia being a topmost choice among Indian aspirants who want to study abroad, the recent high visa rejection rates are compelling the aspirants to look for other places to pursue higher education. The government has tightened the visa rules after the record migration data was reported by the government.
