British Council To Hold Flagship New Directions Conference 2025 On Feb 21, 22

British Council’s New Directions Conference 2025: This is going to be the first such conference in South Asia which will bring together various UK and global experts. The participants will be from various countries including Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and the UK. They will discuss the innovative approaches and technologies for learning of English language and assessment for a multilingual world.

Study Abroad: The British Council’s flagship conference New Directions South Asia 2025 to be held in South Asia for the first time. It is on the language testing and assessment. The conference will be held from February 21 to February 22 in New Delhi.

The New Directions Conference 2025 will be a meeting platform for the regional and international leaders in education including academics, educators, policymakers, assessment experts and teachers to share insights and in English language learning and assessment, explore cutting-edge innovators.

New Directions South Asia Conference 2025 Details

The discussions will be around the following key points - English for Employability, Artificial Intelligence (AI) in English Education, Assessing Young Learners, and the Role of English in Multilingual Education Contexts.

"It will cover the most recent global research and will promote practical tools for policy makers, education institutions, teachers, teacher educators and assessment professionals," says the British Council statement.

This year's conference theme is: “Technology and tradition: the changing face of assessment in English language learning systems.”
