South Regional TAFE: Courses, Admission, Cost

Founded in 2016, South Regional TAFE is located in the southern regional Western Australia and provides training in a variety of study areas. The institute offers a number of vocational education courses to offer practical and industry-relevant training facilities. The institute is formed from the consolidation of the CY O'Connor Institute Narrogin campus, Great Southern Institute of Technology, South West Institute of Technology and the Goldfields Institute of Technology Esperance Campus. The college occupies an area of about 196,600 square km. This vocational education and training organisation offers a range of programmes with an aim to train students for the workforce. It offers an adult learning environment and comes with twelve campuses around Great Southern and South-West regions. The institute offers training facilities to over 6,000 students every year. In southern Western Australia, the institute offers training facilities at Bunbury, Albany, Busselton, Collie, Esperance, Harvey, Denmark, Manjimup, Katanning, Margaret River and Mount Barker.

A range of vocational and training programmes are provided by the institute including Adult Learning & Bridging Courses, Design & Drafting, Mining, Resources and Science, Hospitality & Tourism, Business & Administration, Arts & Design, Sports & Recreation, Hair & Beauty, Health & Community Services, Building & Construction Trades, Training & Education and Work Health, Automotive & Engineering, Information Technology, Retail, Surveying, Agriculture & Environment, Safety and Cleaning. South Regional TAFE offers programmes as per the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). It offers Certificate I, Certificate II, Certificate III, Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma programmes to students pursuing different programmes. Moreover, it comes with top-notch expertise, resources and facilities to offer first-rate training to individuals, organisations and industry. The college offers training facilities not just on the campus but also online, in the workplace, and at community resource centres and various high schools.

Apart from this, the institute maintains an excellent infrastructure with a number of facilities. It comes with fully serviceable training restaurants, unparalleled laboratory facilities, hairdressing and beauty salons and commercial kitchens and horticulture hothouses. Other than this, there is a well-built and modern automotive centre to deliver training facilities in areas of light automotive, heavy automotive and automotive electrics. An array of student support services are also provided in coordination with a dedicated staff at Albany and Bunbury campuses. It includes general study advice and support, disability support, student advocacy and internal student support. In addition to this, the institute offers international student services, financial hardship fee waivers and the counselling service.
