Diploma in Animal Health Technology 

at Northwestern Polytechnic, Grande Prairie

All applicants must present the following courses (or equivalent courses) with no mark lower than 50%:

• English 30-1 or English 30-2
• Mathematics 30-1 (minimum 50%) or Mathematics 30-2 (minimum 65%)
• Biology 30
• Chemistry 30

Applicants must also complete 40 hours job shadowing experience.

• The applicant must have a minimum 40 hours of job shadowing with a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) or a licensed veterinarian. The applicant must provide a completed
  Verification of Work Experience form signed by the RVT, veterinarian or person who most closely supervised the applicant in the location where the job shadowing was completed.
