Dublin City University has a strong curriculum and highly knowledgeable faculty.
Tips: Students should have a strong background in what they want to do after graduation. Without any experience in your chosen field, it's difficult to get a job here, especially for undergrad students. Also, students should develop some knowledge of programming, as the staff here doesn't go into enough detail before assigning assignments or dissertations. The campus is clean and has everything a student needs for their studies and activities. The teaching faculty is average, and you'll find all types of professors here. Some will be supportive, while others may not care. Overall, it's a fantastic campus that provides a variety of opportunities to help students expand their horizons.
Dislikes (Safety): I came to Ireland from another country. When I got here, I was accosted by a group of children who tried to steal my headphones. I was surprised and upset by their behaviour. I tried to reason with them, but they were intent on taking my headphones. I called the police, but they refused to do anything because the children were minors.

DCU is good and I would recommend it to others.
Tips: It's a great school in a beautiful country with wonderful people. Students should know that it is important to learn about the ranking of the university and see if you're eligible for any scholarships at the initial stage after you receive your seat. Also, keep in mind that exploring the city during your course may be limited due to budget constraints.
Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty at DCU are both helpful and approved making the academic experience more engaging and enriching. From the very beginning, professors are super helpful and committed to ensuring that students adapt well to the new academic environment. Initially, catching up can be quite challenging especially for those familiar teaching methods compare to back home. However, as time pass by, the process becomes more adaptable and manageable with the support of the faculty. Professors at DCU encourage us to participate actively in discussions and, collaboration and inclusive teaching atmosphere. The open discussions between professors and students are particularly engaging and interesting allowing us to exchange diverse perceptive. Faculty members bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table, which they share enthusiastically, inspiring students to think critically and be innovative. One of the most remarkable aspects of the faculty is their openness and accessibility. Whether it is during lectures, office hours or through emails, they are always willing to assist during working hours and provide guidance on assignments and projects. Dislikes (Part time work): On-campus part-time jobs are limited, and the competition for the available positions is fierce. Off-campus employment opportunities are somewhat better, but it can take a while to find a suitable position. Personally, I have been able to manage my part-time work and studies, but I have less time for myself. The minimum wage here is 12.5.

Dublin City University has a fun campus and the student life here is amazing.
Tips: Dublin City University (DCU) is perfect for someone looking to pursue greater heights academically and in other fields like sports. They maintain an excellent standard for themselves. So far in my time at DCU, they have offered the best college experience compared to my previous University.
Likes (Student Life): My current campus offers many facilities that my previous university didn't, such as a pharmacy, a supermarket, designed space to eat, and a proper canteen. Additionally, we're kept well-informed about various events and activities through their engaging Instagram pages.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian food available here is either overpriced or lacks authenticity, leaving me disappointed. Given the high cost and poor quality, I've realized that I could easily prepare the same dishes at home. Not only would it be more affordable, but it would also taste better.

While life here is amazing, students must be prepared to work hard to achieve a good life after graduation. The student life here is amazing. Students and teachers are really friendly and helpful with coursework. The lectures are amazing and I love the student life here. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the experiences.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are part-time opportunities, but most of them are already taken and the job postings are just for name sake and there are no proper responses from anyone. Everything happens with reference here and it is a bit difficult to get into so we have to try hard.

My experience at DCU was good, but I think the university could do more to help it.
Tips: Students should know that the transition will be heard as they move away from the safety of their home. The course has mostly Indians though, as I expected more diversity there. I got a scholarship of 2000 Euros for my course fee. The college can be rated as above average after TCD and UCD here in Dublin. It is a nice university, but the faculty could have been better, as a lot of new first-time professors in this January intake were here. Nonetheless, a lot of hard work and self-study are needed.

Good experience but a bad market with limited job.
Tips: At least have 2 years of experience otherwise, get some experience and come aboard. To get a scholarship you've to be an early applicant. It is completely random. Don't be shy to talk or ask questions. No one is going to judge you. People in the college are more friendly and make you feel more comfortable.
Likes (Part time work): Yow will land any part-time job. Visit directly to the place and talk to the manager about any available vacancy. This will increase your chance of landing a job. Don't apply online for a part-time job and wait for a reply. It never going to work like that.
Dislikes (Internships): There are no internship opportunities in Ireland. Here they prefer a graduate role. It's very rare to get an internship opportunity in Ireland. Since companies prefer a graduate role over an internship. It's limited in Ireland, as the majority of businesses focus on graduate employment.

Tips: Students should be aware of their program's prerequisites and the registration procedure when they attend DCU. Attend the campus resources orientation and seek assistance from student services. Keep track of your assignments and due dates. Join organizations and groups to get a well-rounded experience. If you don't reside on campus, schedule your commute.
Likes (Public transportation): Direct Bus: A direct bus service that connects DCU and Palmerstown may not exist. Dublin Bus, however, has several routes that can get you there. For instance, you might have to ride the bus from DCU to the city centre, where you'll need to change to another one that goes to Palmerstown. Routes: The 25, 66, and 67 are frequently used routes in the Palmerstown region. For comprehensive route information and real-time updates, visit the Dublin Bus website.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Like if you get a job then you will have to renew your stamp to 1G and from stamp 2 which is a student visa. After that if you get a job then you can get a critical skills visa that is stamp 1 directly after living for 2 years u are eligible for stamp 4.

Easy going, friendly environment with a big campus and a huge library.
Tips: Before joining this college students should check for scholarships. The people here are friendly and the professors are fantastic to work with. The course was kind of challenging but you get guidance from professors. It's a really small country and everyone knows each other moreover most of the people are friendly.
Likes (Student Life): The student union, fun events and there are Nubar to the hill as well. There are three different campuses and if you have a DCU ID you can stroll around during free time. Glasnevin campus is huge one St. Patrick's campus is the smallest. They do have cultural events too.
Dislikes (Internships): Not really, internships are pretty tough to get. I did not find any internships related to my course and as I have a good experience I focused more on getting a full time job. But if you can try your luck on LinkedIn to find internships or apprenticeships.

My experience at Dublin City University was wonderful and memorable.
Tips: Students should have some background knowledge about the course and how the job market is for those roles. I got a scholarship of 4000 based on my previous academic scores.
I did my master's completely online as I was in the Covid batch, for which I felt the fee was a bit high. The quality of teaching is very good and I’d recommend it to anybody.
Likes (Post study jobs): I got my job based on my previous experience. However, studying at this university was also an add-on advantage to getting a job. I have worked in two companies after graduation, both sponsored visas for work.
I working in automation testing and my salary was between 35-40k during the first year.
Dislikes (Safety): I have heard from my friends who live in that area that the locality is not very safe. Teenagers bully people and steal from them. I’ve also heard the neighbourhood is very quiet and some students find it difficult to walk alone at times.
Other than that the student accommodation is safe and friendly.

Tips: You get to learn a lot of things when you are coming as an international student. There are cultural shifts and also there are many things here that are not the same as in India but we all get adjusted to those things easily. Overall, I am really satisfied.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Very approachable and friendly. Everything theoretical things are shown practically with live examples and also industrial experiences of professors help understand problems more deeply. The helping nature of the faculty motivates us to study and the strict faculty always keeps us on our toes.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): The year 2024 is not too good for the job as there are many people and very few jobs. Ireland was not ready for this much intake which has caused trouble here. Very few companies are offering sponsorship and the salary is a minimum of 35,000 Euros per year.

No attendance, good online study portal, and fair grading system.
Tips: No attendance, going to college is optional which is a big plus. Good online study portal to access all the study material. All classroom lecture recordings are uploaded by lecturers and are available by the EOD on the online study portal and there is a fair marking system for assignments.
Likes (Safety): It is a good and safe university to study. However, the surrounding areas are very unsafe to live in. I would suggest upcoming students research more about the unsafe places in Dubin and get accommodation in good areas. Teenagers are causing a big problem in Ireland mainly in a few areas of Dublin. Some mob will come hit you and may cause you severe injuries, but still, you may not get help from anybody including the government and they won't even get punished by law. So choose a good area to live in and travel by bus and with friends mostly.
Dislikes (Internships): We have to apply to companies for internships or jobs. University won't bring any companies like how it happens in India. Some companies will come to the college to advertise their companies and during that time if there are any relevant companies we can ask them and check if there are any jobs available. If yes we have to apply through their company's careers page.

DCU has a great campus with helpful professors.
Tips: I didn't get any scholarship since I applied for this college before I finished my Bachelors. Had I applied it later I would have gotten at least a 2000 Euro scholarship. I am very much satisfied with the country and the courses they provides, the university also as a whole was very good and affordable when I came here.
Likes (Safety): Everything regarding safety is very good for me in this city. The only people who look down are the other Indians in this country since many carry on with an attitude. I don't like to speak to any other Indians except my friends since whenever I approached any other Indians they were rude to me initially.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I don't have a job at the moment since I require sponsorship to stay in this country but given a chance to permanent reside in the country, I would take that chance since it has greater benefits and is very lively. In the initial days I wanted to leave the country but as the time passes you get adjusted to it.

Amazing university, amazing faculty and a huge learning opportunity.
Tips: If someone is joining a technical course, they should be well rehearsed with the technology taught in the course as mostly everything is taught through applied principles. So one should prepare beforehand as it is going to be tough to study a STEM course here.
Likes (Internships): DCU gives opportunities for internships for under graduates and also for Masters. They give opportunities to take internships in their research programs. In my course Intel comes every year, they select 10 students for a job offer and also 3000 Euros scholarship.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian food is hard to get as it is expensive and if you cook yourself it will be better. It doesn't depend on the college you choose, for food, you have to learn cooking. Indian cooking material is easily available. Almost everything. For dosa lovers I would suggest bring dosa pan from India and bring cooker as well.

Tips: University of Galway is the third-best university in Ireland. The campus is amazing, with over 100 hectares of land. Galway is a beautiful cultural town, and Ireland is a very peaceful and scenic country. The course I took was a well-balanced combination of technical and business knowledge. The only downside was the weather, as it rains a lot and the weather conditions can be extreme.
Likes (Safety): Galway City is amazing and safe. However, there are a few things to be aware of. Be wary of Facebook scams related to house rentals. Some scammers will ask for a deposit without even showing you the house. Avoid walking alone at night, especially in certain shady areas. Stay away from the teenage crowd.
Dislikes (Internships): I found my internship via the gradireland website. There are several websites that can help you in your job search, but you need to start applying as soon as you arrive in Ireland. The university also holds job fairs on campus that can help you introduce yourself to potential employers.

The university is stunning, and the faculty members and students are wonderful. But what impressed me was the education system. It is so much better than the system in India. The education system in Ireland is more holistic. It emphasises critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and it encourages students to think for themselves. The professors are always available to answer questions, and they care about their students. I am enjoying my time at the University of Galway and know I will graduate with a great education. Tips: The University of Galway is a great university to study in. However, students must be prepared to face the Irish weather, cook for themselves, and juggle part-time jobs with academic life. Tips: Honesty I did not experience a cultural shift kind of situation. The University of Galway is an amazing place and I am happy with the place. My course is very informative and I am enjoying it. Ireland is an amazing place and the people here are very friendly and helpful.
Likes (Student Life): I usually spend my day attending classes or most of the time I will be in the lab. Many events like cultural festival events and Science fairs will be conducted at the university. I usually participate in many Indian festivals like Diwali. I even participate in some science fairs or any events conducted by technical clubs.
Dislikes (Safety): The faculty are very friendly and cooperative. The teaching is very good, and the professors are very friendly and supportive. The lab equipment is wonderful. The teachers are very diverse, with professors from all over the world, and they are excellent at their work.

Tips: There's a lot of diversity in this university, as students from different places come here to study. Respecting everyone's culture is preferable advice. The college is really good about academic education, and the faculty is great, with nice modules in the courses of study. Most students prefer to work part-time jobs to sort expenses for the month easily. The availability of part-time jobs is quite good, and there are many different types of part-time jobs that you can get easily. You just have to ask the owner. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experience.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I prefer to cook at home because it saves money. There are a lot of Indian restaurants here, but they don't serve food that is as good as what you can cook at home. Also, they charge a lot for Indian food.

Tips: Accommodation details need to be verified before coming here. You have to book first by joining several accommodation groups. Or else you have to meet some senior people and have to refer to some accommodation details. Also, verify it once by viewing it before paying any advance money.
Likes (Internships): We have to find internships on our own by applying at various sites. Some of the internships will be organised by the university and some have to be researched by us. Internships are good options to earn better than part-time jobs here in Ireland. Also, it adds good experience to my personal portfolio.
Dislikes (Part time work): I found it easy to find a part-time job that I could easily manage alongside my studies. The average hourly rate is 12.70 Euros, and you can work up to 20 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours per week during holidays.

Tips: Amazing university located on 300 acres of land. There are a huge number of Indian communities over here. You will never miss your home as the students are very much helpful. Likes (Permanent Immigration): I'm just glad that I got admission to the University of Galway. There's always something to do, whether it's going to a college event or just walking around town. It is a happing place specially made for students and the nightlife on the streets of Galway is amazing.
Dislikes (Value for money): The faculty at this college is excellent, and they don't spoon-feed you at all. It's hard at first, but you get used to it and start to enjoy the education. The PPTs make it easy for every student to understand the material.

Tips: I'm just glad that I got admission to this university. The cost of tuition is worth it. The large Indian community here celebrates our festivals, and it's a great opportunity to explore a foreign country. Also, there are a lot of job opportunities here with good salaries. Likes (Value for money): The campus size and facilities are outstanding, and the library and pods for self-study are great. The career guidance is the best part of this university, and it's worth spending a huge amount of money on education in Ireland.

Tips: It is really difficult to find off-campus accommodation. The university is easygoing, and there are many events happening on campus, so overall it's good. However, I searched for a part-time job for about 30 days before I found one.
Likes (Indian Food): I am from India and love spicy food. Europe is not known for its spicy food, so I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to find the spices I like. But I was wrong. There are many Asian and Indian stores where you can find the ingredients you are looking for.
Dislikes (Public transportation): The place where I am living right now is Moycullen which is 10km away from the university and there is only 1 bus from Moycullen to the city centre and the frequency is too low. It is one bus every 3 hours so most of the time you have to adjust yourself according to the bus timetable.

Tips: Before joining, students should have some experience related to the field they are choosing. I didn't get any scholarships, but they are available on a merit basis. There are very few part-time jobs for freshers, so experience in your field is a must. You'll also find a significant cultural shift here. Overall, I'm satisfied with my course, university, and country.
Likes (Public transportation): There are buses which are 10-15 minutes apart from each other. As the campus is in the middle of the city, you will find each bus taking you to the university bus stop. If you are living far away, you can avail train journey too. Also, if you have your student card, your bus ticket gets reduced by 60%.
Dislikes (Value for money): When you arrive at college, you get to know that it's pretty hard to find part-time jobs as everyone is searching for the same and the city is pretty small for so many people to have part-time jobs. The same can be said the case when you complete your graduation too.
