The university is great and a one of a kind experience.
Tips: The location and the networking prospects of the university are ideal to help land opportunities and broaden your horizons and knowledge. Although the university has great academic programs with good faculty who are very dedicated, the administration can be a challenge to deal with so come prepared. Overall, I am satisfied with the experiences here.

Good experience with lots of learning to grow significantly.
Tips: Everyone at Fordham is extremely welcoming, and you will certainly feel accepted, along with a sense of community, which is one of the best things. The faculty is warm and welcoming and will guide you in every step. However, some of the facilities really need an upgrade, especially with the amount each student is investing in themselves.

Definitely a multifaceted experience with lots of learning.
Tips: I have had a pretty positive experience here at Fordham and I have learnt a lot while studying here for which I am grateful. I would say that its location within NYC is one of its highlights but this can also make things rather expensive. The faculty is friendly and very understanding towards every student so feel free to reach out to them. Finally, make use of the student services and feedback forms to address your concerns.
Dislikes (Internships): The college has limited resources or connections when it comes to ensuring internships while studying here. You may have better luck on completion of your degree as it is increasingly competitive by the year and job opportunities as well as internships are limited.

The university is amazing and had a good time so far.
Tips: Students should know that the academic courses and offerings are very promising but it can be very intensive and overbearing at times as well as the environment is quite competitive. I would say that be a part of campus, by getting involved in student activities as a hobby or a way to balance your academic loads. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the course, college and the country.

The college environment is very optimistic and wonderful.
Tips: Students should know that Fordham University has a great feeling of community and the faculty is also very involved and genuinely cares about the students. Side from this, invest time in finding the ideal housing that too within your budget as living expenses here can be really high.

Learned a lot under good faculty.
Tips: Fordham will really teach you how to multitask while also inculcating a sense of discipline. This can be attributed to the course loads and the expectations from them. Also, the class sizes are limited and professors are friendly and interactive too.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I feel there is no real replication of the food back home especially because I am a vegetarian and vegetarian options are limited even if they are from the same cuisine. Hence when it comes to food I have a different experience than others.

I would say that the University and the area around is calm and immersed in nature.
Tips: There is very little cultural shift transitioning to the university as there are many people from the community around the area. Students applying to the university should consider sending their GRE scores, even though it is not mandatory, as it evaluates the percentage of scholarships you could get. I am satisfied with my university and the area around me.
Likes (Part time work): There are plenty of part-time jobs available on campus. People should keep looking for the postings frequently there are plenty of opportunities posted in the portals every week. As students can work a maximum of 20 hours per week, the work is pretty easy to manage. The average payout is $15 per hour.
Dislikes (Internships): There is a lot of guidance available for internships but there aren't enough internships available in the Rochester Area. The career fair that happens in the university won't be much of use for this and CS Students as most of the companies look for US citizens or majors in core areas like Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

It's a decent college in a not so expensive city.
Tips: Mostly everyone gets a scholarship. There is a lot of difference in culture. With time everyone adapts. You will find some great teachers and subjects. Try to get a research assistant on-campus job. Not a lot to do in the city, in fact quite boring, so make some good friends.
Likes (Part time work): Plenty of options and mostly everyone gets an on-campus job. You can check the website for more information. Dining services, teaching assistant and research assistant are the most common on-campus jobs. You can't work outside for the first 9 months.
Dislikes (Safety): Rochester is not a safe city, some areas are really dangerous. Staying on campus is a better option. Areas like the 19th award witness crimes on a regular basis. University has done well by introducing Public safety but by no means the crimes have topped.

Good public transportation.
Tips: Beware of job scenarios, things could be difficult, so research before coming in. Look into seniors and ask them for advice whenever possible. Start prepping for jobs and internships early on. Focus on creating a network with different people of different cultures.
Likes (Public transportation): There is a good public transportation bus service called RTA Roam in Rochester and is really helpful. You can see the bus location on an app and plan your schedule. The University also has its own coloured line for bus. That helps too. They have an app as well.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I have no idea about it. Frankly, everything depends on whether you get a job or you choose the Ph.D. track. University cannot help much in this case as it is student-by-student dependent. Think before what you want to do and plan accordingly. Be flexible as well.
