About Yeshiva University
Founded in 1886, Yeshiva University (YU) is a private research university in New York City. Based on various sources, Yeshiva University has an overall acceptance rate of around 64% making it moderately selective for admissions. The university has five campuses in locations such as New York, Manhattan, Israel, and the Bronx.

Yeshiva University History
A cheder style elementary school called as Etz Chaim Yeshiva was founded in 1886 located on the Lower East Side of Manhattan and it was established along the lines of the Eastern European Yeshivas. Later in the year 1928, the Yeshiva had established Yeshiva College which offers both upper-level yeshiva education as well as a secular university curriculum that awards a Bachelors Degree.
Yeshiva University obtained its university status in 1945 and in the next few decades and many new schools as well as divisions were opened. During the 1950s, the Stern College for Women, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, the graduate school of education and the humanities were also established.

Graduate requirements at Yeshiva University
LOR: Graduate programs ask for a LOR, with particular exceptions. However, Yeshiva University strictly doesn’t accept Duplicate letters.
