Best cities to live in. The faculty help in networking.
Tips: For students moving here there will be a cultural shift for sure. It is smart to get referrals for on-campus jobs, as they are limited. Try staying Bridgeport area, as it is affordable and safe. Chicago is one of the best cities in the US, you will get to a lot of networking events outside the university which can help you in many ways.

One of the most Amazing Experiences.
Tips: There's definitely a cultural shift. I personally loved the new country/city/university challenge and was up for all the tasks ahead. Find good friends/roommates who will guide you and help you in your transition. Don't hesitate to change your accommodation if not suitable for your academic preference. I didn't avail of any scholarships because I wasn't aware of any. There are different undergrad and graduate school scholarships available so do your research. I can say that I am somewhat satisfied with the course/university. Definitely would have liked a cheaper college but I suppose I did the best I could with the scores. Chicago is a beautiful city. The summers are short but pleasant, winters are long and the city is covered in snow for almost 3 months so definitely extreme weather conditions will take some time to get used to but it is undeniably beautiful. Some parts of the city are not safe and generally, you will be aware of those with research. Try to avoid those areas and don't wander alone at night. Everything will be great. Good luck to whoever reading this for your future.
Likes (Public transportation): Chicago has one of the best public transportation systems with frequent trains and buses even during night times. It is super affordable as semester passes are generally provided by the university as part of your tuition fees. Public transportation runs in all weather (even in heavy snow and rain).
Dislikes (Part time work): On campus part time jobs are available but very limited. Usually, you get them through connections. 100s apply but a chosen few are selected. Very much depends on the particular facility you are applying for. Personally, I applied but never got any. It is definitely manageable. Sometimes you will have to do weekend shifts or work late at night but the campus provides late-night drop offs. Pay is generally minimum wage in the state (usually $12/hr - $14/hr).

Many Indian students are present in the campus.
Tips: In college, maximum number of students in ITM and CS branches are Indian only. So there was no cultural shift that I experienced. Initially, you may feel some changes and that's all. But after 2-3 weeks it will be the same. One should just focus on GRE and SOPs.

US has its drawbacks too. Think carefully
Tips: Be prepared for a new life. College doesn’t matter. Personality matters. If you are smart you will get a job at Google and if not you will end up back in India wasting your money. So think carefully about the courses you are taking and the people you are hanging out with.

College is good, faculty are amazing and the audience is almost Indian students.
Tips: I did my research and read the course descriptions thoroughly. I was awarded a scholarship based on my GPA and extracurricular activities. At first, it was quite difficult, but I knew I had to do it and I chose a course that I wanted to pursue further. The university is always happening and there are many on-campus events, activities and workshops so do participate in it. I am very satisfied with the course, country and college.

Illinois Institute of technology has an academic oriented approach.
Tips: Before joining IIT, students should be prepared for a rigorous academic program, a smaller campus community, and life in Chicago with its opportunities and challenges, including harsh winters. Transitioning to IIT involves adapting to the American teaching style, independent living, and cultural differences. Scholarships, like the Residential Scholarship, often help with tuition but rarely cover living expenses. Overall, IIT is academically rewarding but must adjust to the cultural and lifestyle changes in the U.S.

The university has a great atmosphere and a friendly environment.
Tips: The environment of this university and campus will bring you out of yourself, and if you are somewhat creative or athletic, this is the place for you. Professors are flexible and understanding enough as long as you maintain a positive relationship with them, and sports events are a tradition here. Finally, campus can be confusing, so take your time to map out your classrooms. Overall, I am pretty satisfied.

The college environment is great with helpful faculty by our side.
Tips: I have become more confident and open-minded as a person after coming here, and this can be attributed to the campus environment. Students should know that they have multiple options and opportunities to explore different clubs, groups, and activities based on their interests, which will pay off ultimately. The faculty are extremely friendly and understanding and will help you at any point in your life. Overall, I am satisfied with my course, country, and university.

Students should try to participate in an array of activities, cultivate connections and be a part of a supportive community. It is a great university and I feel privileged to study here.
Tips: You will be in the midst of one of the most cosmopolitan cities of the world and Syracuse is known for encouraging creativity and innovation, hence, try to focus more on collaboration on projects and networking outside of your classrooms. Also, be on good terms with the faculty as they will ultimately help you out.
Dislikes (Internships): Internships are hard to find in general and even harder when it comes to my course as there is a lot of specialisation and work involved and not a lot of companies have internships relevant to this line of study. Moreover, the college does not have a lot of resources regarding internship work.

The faculty is so understanding and helpful; transportation facilities are great.
Tips: I took a long time to finally commit to Syracuse and now I don't see myself anywhere else. I saw my personality and interests develop and transform and I grew as a person as well as a student. If you are having a hard time finding friends, just pick up a hobby and join a club for that hobby or sport if that's your calling. Being a part of the campus community is helpful for all new students here. The faculty is understanding so you can reach out to them if you have any doubts or queries regarding anything. Overall, I am happy and satisfied with my college.

Tips: I was very uncertain at the initial phase but after spending a semester here, I feel like I would not want to be anywhere else. This is what I'd advise anyone coming here. Give it time and keep an open enough mind. There is so much happening on campus that it will never feel mundane. The transportation facility is affordable and accessible at any time of the day. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the course and the country.

The university is great and you get to explore your potential.
Tips: Students should start placing bids for housing as early as possible, or all the good ones are taken away. Make sure to keep in touch with a student service counsellor as they can be useful in many things, especially once you start. The courses tend to vary based on the professors so go for the ones with a good reputation.
Dislikes (Value for money): Honesty, studying in the US can cost a lot and I feel you can explore other better options than just Syracuse with the amount you're paying to study here. On the other hand, it can also lead to a well-paid job if you are in a promising field.

Tips: Students should take their time and plan long-term taking into consideration if the university will benefit them in the long run. While you are here, make industry contacts and talk to your professors for entry-level or internship work.

Great university with good faculty; content with my experience.
Tips: Students should learn to be adaptive and resourceful as these qualities will determine your experience here. I have personally grown more self-aware and understanding since I started college and I would say I am pretty satisfied by my experience with the campus and faculty so far.
Dislikes (Value for money): The cost of tuition combined with the total cost of living can be much more than you may initially expect. This could be because of the living costs in NYC and the extra fees charged by the university for things you might not initially plan for.

Interactive and engaging classes with great faculty.
Tips: I found the workload to be somewhat challenging as there is a rigorous academic schedule, especially for business and engineering-related fields. I didn't get any scholarships although there are several available which you can consult directly with the university or student services. The faculty is understanding and the sessions are interactive.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I rated low on permanent immigration because earlier you could expect to get some form of residence in the US especially if you were a STEM major. These days there is a lack of jobs, especially in the Tech industry which makes it pretty challenging to immigrate or settle here for that matter.

Tips: I feel choosing this university has its own ups and downs as it has good professors with great programs who teach well so you will learn a lot and you can expect a good job as well after. But it is increasingly unsafe due to several incidents and there have been reports of racism. So be specific and well-prepared before joining this college.
