University life can be drastically different for everyone.
Tips: Before joining this college, students should understand what course they are taking up and what facilities are available on campus. There are many activities and sessions that are offered for free, but students are often not aware of them. So, it is important to do your research beforehand.
Likes (Safety): There are security vans that patrol at all times. Also, the campus is always lively with people jogging around. However, because it's a small town, there's not a lot of crime. Even so, always try to walk in groups at night.
Dislikes (Part time work): There are part-time jobs available on campus, but because it's a small student town, the options are limited. However, there are opportunities for on-campus employment, so it's not that bad. But a part-time job is difficult to manage when you have a heavy course load.

MSc in International Business - Batch of 2019

Potential learning but placement issues.
Tips: I got a scholarship of 4,000 Pounds and didn't have to take an entrance exam. I couldn't get a placement after graduation because of Brexit. Although I liked the university, the course didn't have value in my country, so it was pointless. I loved the country and the standard of living.
Likes (Safety): I felt safe even when I was out at 4 am in the town because it's never quiet and there are many lights on the road. Everything was accessible and nearby, so I didn't have to go away from home. Even at night, transportation is easily accessible and private cabs are available too.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): I didn't get any placement offers from the university after I completed my master's degree. There was no placement cell for any guidance, so everyone who earned their master's degree had to go back home. Even though university life was fun and the course provided good learning, placement really destroyed everything.

University is really good in terms of quality of education and faculties.
Tips: Loughborough University provides 20 to 10% of scholarships depending upon the criteria. The cultural difference that I faced after coming to UK was that everything closed by 6 pm but totally satisfied with the university. The course is really interesting.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Loughborough university is renowned for its high-quality faculty members in their respective fields. They often hold regular office hours, respond promptly to emails, and are willing to schedule appointments for additional support and guidance. The university employs a diverse range of teaching methodologies. Designed to cater to different learning styles.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Loughborough university is a small town where no settlement can be seen. Except for the university, there's nothing which can give you job opportunities, and students can't get settled because of a lack of professional opportunities. You need to go out and work in another big city.

MSc in Business Analytics - Batch of 2023
4.6
University with top ranking and great student satisfaction rate.
Tips: I have experienced a cultural shift at the beginning of the semester. Teaching method, assignments were completely different from my home country. Later it was not a problem because we got used to it. I was awarded with the scholarship. It covered 20% of the tuition fee. I think B.Teach and 12th standard marks helped me with the scholarship. I am very much satisfied with the overall performance of the university. However, it completely depends upon ourselves how we will use the opportunities which are provided by the university.
Likes (Quality of faculty): For the Business Analytics course we used to have 5 days classes in a week. Morning sessions are lectures continuing sessions with the computer lab. So lab sessions are most of the practice of the lessons which are covered. University has a diverse teaching faculty which includes experienced faculty from all around the globe.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): At present I am looking for a job offer who will sponsor for my visa to stay in the country. If I get the one then there is a higher chance to settle in the United Kingdom. If I have a chance I would like to permanently immigrate to this country.

Enriching experience and academic excellence at Loughborough.
Tips: Loughborough University has been a fantastic choice for my higher education, offering a perfect blend of academic excellence and a vibrant campus life. The university's emphasis on practical learning and research paired with state-of-the-art facilities, ensures students are industry-ready. I was fortunate to receive a scholarship covering 20% tuition fees, which eased my financial burden significantly. The faculty are very focused and teach very well. The assignments are very practical, which is good preparation for the professional world. Overall, I am satisfied with the course, college and the country.

I would rate my College 6 out of 10
Tips: Settling here was not that difficult, and I transitioned smoothly. I availed an International Postgraduate Scholarship from the college. With regard to satisfaction, University needs to work on building common spaces more vibrant and friendly as there is a barrier since many students join from various faith and belief. More networking events should be organized by the Departments for the future professional pursuits of the students. London, as a city, is a good space for anyone who does land up here.
Likes (Quality of faculty): Most of the classes are designed well in advance with proper well-structured module and the faculty's pedagogy are really commendable. The tutorial after class is designed for the one-to-one interaction of students and professors which is super helpful to get your queries and concerns clear. This is the space where you may like to encounter different narratives of the same theory or question. In my department at least there are a good number of diverse professors whom I had a chance to interact with, nationality includes China, USA, Germany, India, Korea, England, Pakistan, Srilanka, etc.
Dislikes (Internships): There is no concentrated effort by the institution to the ample opportunities for the internship. There are above 5000 students and just around 40-50 internship opportunities are offered on campus. Colleges could put more effort to bring more internship opportunities outside campus with different organisations and Government agencies.

My experience at SOAS, about inclusivity and intersectionality.
Tips: SOAS has one of the most diverse crowds of all the London university's. It is located in the heart of London, and fun activities and food are all part of university life. I study M.Sc. Development studies which is ranked 2nd all over, for a person who is academically inclined SOAS is the right choice to move forward.
Likes (Value for money): I think you cannot judge education on the basis of money. And if you think the money could be an obstacle to getting a better education, then you can always gain experience and get a scholarship later. As education doesn't come with a restriction on age. If you want to get better academic exposure SOAS is a great spot and it is highly acclaimed in the academic arena.
Dislikes (Indian Food): As this University is based in the UK, most of the diet is different. There are attempts made by the University to try and adapt diverse cuisine. Meats are usually Halal which is good as it caters to everyone. There is given importance to inclusivity which is all over UK.
