Loughborough University Admissions 2025: Application Deadline, Requirements & Costs

The university accepts only certified documents at the time of application to ensure these are genuine. If the original drafts are not in English, then certified translations of all copies should be attached to the documents. A certified document must be on an official university/school letterhead and have at least one of the following:

• a clear ink or impression stamp from the institution that awarded the qualification

• an address stamp of the institution that is signed and dated by its official

• a stamp and signature of one of Lboro’s registered overseas agents to confirm that they have seen the original document firsthand.

Loughborough University is a great choice for international students. It has maintained its top-five ranking for a second successive year in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide. The requirements are as followed:

• Applicants must have undergraduate degree classifications i.e. first-class honours, upper second-class honours and lower second-class honours
• Institutions listed on the Indian Ranking of Higher Educational Institutions Framework with 55% (First) in Lower second-class honours degree  
• All other Indian institutions with 60% (First) in Lower second-class or honours degree 

• A 2:2 honours degree (or equivalent international qualification) in any discipline (except computer science).

The CAS letter is issued once all conditions of the offer have been met and your place is confirmed at the university. Your CAS can only be produced three months prior to the start of your course. The majority of CAS’ are sent out in August in plenty of time for your visa to be granted. As soon as you receive the letter, you can file for a UK student visa.

Loughborough University is a single-site campus spread over 440 acres with state-of-the-art facilities for students, staff, and visitors alike. The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, home to London Olympics and Paralympic Games, is one of London's most exciting new developments and a part of Lboro. The park is now a postgraduate campus known as Loughborough University London aimed at enhancing the university’s existing world-class partnerships and excellence in research. The university offers various accommodation options to international students. Lboro has 16 UG halls of residence either on or close to campus. Each hall room contains a bed, storage, desk, chair, shelves, and noticeboard. Students also get access to laundry facilities, bike storage, a common room, internet access, and the support of a warden and hall committee team. International UG students are guaranteed accommodation within the same hall for two years of their undergraduate study.

Graduate aspirants can stay either on the Loughborough campus or the London campus. The Loughborough campus housing features four self-catered residence halls whose rooms are let on a 50-week basis. On the other hand, the London campus housing includes high-quality residence halls, shared housing, and self-contained apartments and houses. Applications for both master’s and research degrees need to be submitted directly to Loughborough University via its application portal.

Applying through Lboro’s Application Portal

After registering, you will receive an e-mail with a link to complete the registration process.

Step 1: After completing the registration process, click on ‘Apply Online Home’ to begin your application process. Log in to the portal with your registered e-mail and password. Click on the application type of your choice.

Step 2: Enter personal details.

Step 3: Ensure to fill all the sections as shown under Application Overview. Review your form thoroughly before submitting it.

Note: Some courses may require higher average and English proficiency scores. Credit transfer for Andhra Pradesh exams and other recognised exams may be available. Check the respective school/course website for more details.

For undergraduate courses, you will need to apply through the UCAS application portal. As a new applicant, you must register with UCAS first and then complete all six sections of your application. These sections can be completed in any order; however, it is essential to thoroughly review each section before submitting your application to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Eligibility Required for the Loughborough University UG Admission

CBSE/CISCE Board: 78-88%

Other state Board: 83-93%

Undergraduate applications are processed within three to four weeks, but response time may vary as each application is considered on an individual basis. Generally, the university releases its decisions for mid-January deadline applications by late March. PG decisions usually take four to six weeks from the time of application submission. Some courses may declare results earlier than this timeline.
